Fractals are modern dungeon content. The reason ANet has given for not working on dungeons anymore has to do with how they coded them originally. It turns out to be extremely tricky to make any change, large or small. Fractals were designed to avoid that issue entirely, which is why they are often able to fix a variety of fractal issues quickly. > would be nice to at least rework the reward structure and make it possible to get ascended items from them.
