The mysterious Bridge of Sandswept Isles

This very long asuran road/bridge is located in sandswept isles between damos Isles and rata primus. BUT underwater, under the map surface, (yeah I broke out of the map). I suppose that it was originally planned to link rata primus to damos isle via a special tunnel and a curved bridge. (this bridge)

Here is the bridge if we put him on the surface, he is perfectly placed and oriented to correspond with the entrance of Leyfinder research facility of Damos Isle.

So on this screen, you perfectly see that I can link my actual tunnel to the entrance of leyfinder research facility.

By the way, why the associated tunnel have this strange asset? A regular Asuran Tunnel Arch, not an Inquest one, correspond to the style of the bridge, and here is the only area where we can see this asset!

All these "proofs" force me to think that an asuran bridge was planned here at the end of this tunnel, which allow the Inquest/Player to walk over the river and accessing to Damos Isle. That create a continuity from rata primus to Invariant Enclave, damos isle is the only place not linked to rata primus.

It is Drakkar...I just don't remember where it was finally confirmed or who confirmed it(other than the fact that is called Lake Drakkar).

Problem with that is someone's going to post that they found the DSD or one of its champions which might paint Anet into a corner regarding that elder dragon.

No monsters plz! :open_mouth: Areas out of the maps are fascinating and sometimes more interessant than the map herself! Love the confetti box at the south-east of Domain of Kourna! I hope Anet will continue to put some cool little things like these outside their maps! Recently I broke out of mons draconis and only found a giant wall like in game of thrones.

Apparently the blue men “are a model that the devs use as a base scale to know the size of the environment and other models.”

As for why they are still there

I think some things like this are left in as rewards for players that manage to escape form the box. I'm a software developer myself and usually the clever things that you do in code are totally hidden form the users, but in a visual medium like a game (or a DVD menu) a few sweet little Easter Eggs are nice.

In addition of that bridge, the only thing strange I've found is a strange underwater shell under the northern ruins: It captures players within it, giving them a buff and then shooting them straight up outside of water like a cannon. Rata Primus outside of its instance is empty, nude with only the general cube shape, no portals, no fire, no npcs, nothing.

Secondly around the map, some unused things: strange floating asuran devices acting like lightning conductors.

R3D-RCR and some other peaceful inquest members are present. No greeting, no dialogue.

Many interesting secrets are hidden in the charge instance I guess behind the left closed stone gate (once you've explored the three labs, after exploding door, left of staircase) for me it leads to an unused part with more labs.

There's a few places like this--

the golden chamber in silverwastes used in the last episode of ls2 exists in the normal world and can be accessed with a map break

caudecus' basement is in the normal caudecus' manor dungeon (ofc, i was not around when ls3 ep4 released to know if it was there all along or not) and the fact that people can map break a /dungeon/ is still very impressive to me

i'm sure there's many others i don't know about or am forgetting
