If Glint, Eir and Snaff are still fighting in the mist, does that mean...

The afterlife has always been a thing in setting though. It's like saying the existence of undead and ghosts does the same thing.

Errr... all the dead end up in the Mists. That's how the afterlife works in GW2. That's how Rytlock became a Revenant, because he met all those legendary people there.

The fight in the Mists is a new thing, it is not how your "usual day" ;) there goes. A living being, namely Kralkatorrik, found a way to enter the Mists to steal all those powers from said powerful beings in there. Glint and her entourage, i.e. the members of Destiny's Edge who are already dead, are fighting him to ban him from the Mists again. And they used one of the rifts (created by Kralkatorrik to send his troops through into the realm of the living) to follow one such squad and deliver a message from Glint. They couldn't exist forever in this realm, hence their "We don't have much time! Have to deliver the message ASAP!" panicky attitude.

Ergo, none of the foes you mentioned would be able to exit the Mists just like that and indefinitely stay in the world of the living. Not as long as Grenth has something to say about that (or is defeated by some evil).
