Thing is that burst from stealth has ALWAYS been a thing. Even when gw2 first came out and we had dagger/dagger. It was the steal/CnD combo then backstab. And once we found out about d/p we could land backstab from 900 units away. People always learned how to play around it. Nowadays people just want a reveal skill that they can pop when they sense a thief but back before elite specs everyone had a dodge, warriors had shield 5, etc. It's just that people QQ because they never see it coming. If a thief 1 shot you he had to have been 1200 units away. Or at least have seen you in order to stealth up and shadowstep all the way to you. If he saw you then you should've been able to see him. Watch your six.

The whole point from running on a stealth class is to Hit without warning.Do you want anet to put massive exclamation marks above the heads of players when they about to attack to make the game even more casual ? You also can't treat classes the same way since they all have their own purpose and their own way of playing.

Maybe remove animations too. It's just so casual if you know when enemy going to hit. :D

This video here pretty much shows why damage from stealth openers need nerf for 1-2 seconds. Not just on thieves but any invis class. Extremely limited tells but huge damage. There is barely any reaction time allowed.

I've seen classes do more damage than this thief from stealth within a short frame of 1-2 seconds.

So. What's the validation then for the 0,5 seconds delay on shade skills?

Because there's always been a red circle before. That should have been warning enough.

I don't think there should be a warning for stealth attacks. Because as you said, you should have seen the thief (even though there's also some permastealth thief that you will definetly not see coming)

But then you also have to remove the delay on shade skills.because you need a shade to use it. And shades have red circles after being placed down. Sure you also do the attack around you, but there's a lot of other classes, that have instant casts as well. So would you give them all casttime?

Treat all classes the same!
