Cc idea

Lots of boards about nerf this or nerf that because of cc chains.. but maybe change stunbrake if u brake stun u are immune for 1 second or some shit so it adds skill to the combo I.e get stunned by war u instant stunbrake and in your immune u can dodge... the window should be short but it’s better than say being instant killed with a cc chain because u had no stunbrake a left but full hp.. idk it’s just a thought.. for me it will make combos a higher skill bar stop crying cus u have short window to counter cc chains if u learn how

Just make CC not overwrite each other. That way, you can't get chain CC'd unless the person actually timed it correctly (which never happens as it is). This is how GW1 worked and it was great. Plus give stunbreakers one second of stab on successful stunbreak as well.

No more mindless CC spam, please.

Given anet's slippery slope of slapping daze, stun and launch onto random skills for flavor's sake, this game really ought to have gone with a more compacted weapon bar (like 3-4 skills tops) and a more expanded version of the utility bar which could have included something like a "control skill" slot. GW2 would be a lot more tolerable with more skill slot types with focused, respective purposes. If CC were restricted primarily to a pool of well-cued or no-damage skills which were all restricted to a single utility skill slot, inflicting CC would feel a lot more rewarding while being CC'ed would probably feel more like one's own misplay rather than getting clipped by someone's basic damage rotation.

On top of this, everyone would have baseline CC options for PvE breakbars since it would be a slot that everyone had stapled to their skill bar. Dealing breakbar damage could end up working like Wildstar stacks did rather than this hyper-arbitrary system in GW2 (100 points there, 175 points there).

Also doesn't help that many heavy cc skills are also high damage skills so cc chaining is an easy method to pull off kills. If, like Swagg mentioned above, cc's were either put into their own control skill slot or removed from skills that also deal high damage, it would be much more balanced as chains would have to be combo'd with damage skills rather than just having the cc BE the damage skill.
