Gemnaid.4219
It only supports NCSoft that they did the right thing. Lay off = increase sales. Up to you.
Tolmos.8395
I just came back to the game and bought a crap ton of gems, but now I'm concerned I just dumped cash into a sinking ship. Plus the loss of Gaile, a member of the community that has been around since day 1 of GW1, isn't helping things. I'm not excited at the idea of buying gems and then getting a "Guild Wars 2 to shut down in 2020" email, so I'm going to hold off for a bit before doing anything else. Up to you. really depends on where the cuts are happening just as other businesses, consolidation may not actually be a bad thing for example, consolidate PR, Marketing, HR and other departments where shared resourcing makes more sense than to have separate departments, and possibly make better use of good resources... especially marketing, we all know marketing isnt exactly anet's forte base on past promo materials that were sent out, and we have to acknowledge ncsoft had been good at promoting IPs directly under their branch, like Lineage 2, continuously generating strong revenues for the company letting go of the long timers may also create more opportunities for the younglings to progress faster with their career goals ... and maybe one day, ncsoft may call the shot and move GW onto unreal engine just as Lineage 2 to remove the need for in-house engine develpement
Xstein.2187
I'll buy gems when they finally start introducing more besides skins and minis every gem patch. I already have my characters designed the way I want them. Why would I change them? I know some people might like changing their characters looks every day. However, for those that don't . . . . . . . . . .???

You see - thee job was not to do something for GW2 - it was impossible - but to create the impression they work on it. A trully mesmer ihgh level trick =). Ilusion of work - this can be a good specialisation for the next mesmer =).
titje.2745
i would buy gems and spend them on skins like exhaled shoulders. but then it must be buyable and not rng based. 400 gems for the skin or maybe 700. but not more. maybe they could try it this way so ppl are sure they get what they pay for. if you pay 20 euro for a skin you really want. or even more and you don’t get it. i am sure i don’t do that another time. if you can buy them then i am sure ppl do it more often because you don’t lose money.
