Why do ascended greatswords and ascended swords have the exact same cost to craft?

An ascended Greatsword will fill out your bar. You would need additional weapon to fill the bar if you were using a sword.

And this doesn't apply to just swords. Pretty much all the one handed weapons have similar costs to two handed weapons.

I thought about that too. One handed weapons should be cheaper to craft than 2 handed weapons. But what do I know then?

I agree, 2h should cost more than 1h. However this is the same case for Darksteel greatsword/sword (both cost 6 ingots) and I would assume (but have not checked) that this would then be the case for all tiers of sword/greatsword. It seems inconsistent when, for example, trading magnetite shards for asc weapons is double the price for 2h as 1h.

leg 2.5 kinda are, not 50% but about 35%.

 

On the topic, well you need lesser vision crystal fro one hand weapons. :)
