dagger auto attack too flashy?

compare to rest of the weapons, feels out of place..unlike say guardian, all their weapons has blue trail so axe and blend in well.

but not the same with warrior dagger

Well the entire Spellbreaker theme is kinda weird like that - almost magical in nature.

 

So I don't really mind.

I love it, don't take it away. Most warrior weaponskills are bland and boring. The dagger at least has some color.

 

Spellbreakers are mageblades anyways. They're the melee GW1 mesmer.

I'm ok with that, currently for open world I'm using double daggers + GS with Volcanus skin, so it's pretty much flashy trails everywhere regardless of weapon switching.

Running dagger + x (without flashy effects) would be weird for me though

I agree with OP. The Auto attack is too flashy, the rest of the skills should keep the "magebane" theme but the auto attack i feel should remain simple.
