Sovari.7246
Some PvP special events would be nice when there's downtime, it's probably not feasible but would be cool having a week of core only gameplay then 2nd week of HoT only gameplay then PoF
Tuchanka.5148
Suggestion to make offseason interesting: 2 BALANCE Patches PER PVP SEASON! Celebrate them like a LW Release just for the competitive players! Not everything listed has to happen all the time during an offseason. But sometimes change is good and needed. OFF SEASON BALANCE Patch -> Change runes amuletts skills, sigills all that stuff Class Reworks! New Map Rotations New Map Betas Special Event Weeks 1v1 2v2 3v3 10v10 Queues + ATs NEW SEASON BALANCE PATCH -> React to player feedback, Adjust the "degen. play" builds No random full class "reworks"( Let Mesmers live-duh!) Show Rewards(like Weapons/Armors/more Lamas?) START THE NEW SEASON! during a season: Let the players enjoy and play the game and their class. Necessary Hotfixes Bug squashing! What do you think? Maybe it's just wishful thinking . No system is perfect.

How about disabling unranked while a season is active, and reactivate unranked when the season is on break. This way PvP population isn't split between the 2? This way PvP population isn't split between the 2? Welp I'll play in hotjoin because there is a reason I quit the wintrade wars season 7. Dont ruin the rest of pvp for others when ranked is just a cesspool ment for basement dwellers to wintrade in. That's what they wanted that's what they get. Competitive ranked pvp ended after seasons 4/5.

With all my respect, Ben, but you guys are ready to talk about _something_? 'Cos, you know, WvW is buried in the dirt since years ago. Players gave several ideas but non was listened... except the "marvelous" idea about changing the desert map, ruining it totally. Players resign trying to continue playing the game mode and leave. NA could be surviving, but EU **isn't**, no matters what the bandwagoners tell you. So if you gonna work in a serious plan for reviving WvW, TELL US. And please, don't come with "Alliances are the future", 'cos is false: Alliances won't solve a s***.

Yeah the only difference between the 2 games is in GW1 pvp got tons of different modes and a team of developers that knew exactly what they wanted their game to be. rng.1024
Let's everybody take a moment and appreciate the insights Ben just gave us: That if the off-season lasts more than 2 weeks then we can assume something is in the works (as there is no special holiday right now as far as I am aware) for the reasons he stated. What would you rather have, 2 weeks of off-season or 3 weeks with f.ex a balance pass? We already know Chaotic Interruption is on the fast track for next season, so it makes sense we get a little more to go with it. All I'm saying is you need to actually read what he said, as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would endure an extra week of off-season should there be a PvP-oriented release on the horizon. This way PvP population isn't split between the 2? I'd quit pvp entirely during the season, then. Also, most plat players who care about climbing the leaderboards also queue unranked quite often during the season, so as not to jeopardize their rank. I don't think the community is as deeply fractured along the ranked/unranked fault line as you seem to indicate, but it's more likely that the overall population is just too small to ensure quality matches all the time/across many tiers.
