You post what you want. People post criticism of why they don't want it. Seems fair to me. I'm not sure you are being told to not post.

 

For my part, I don't like when we create problems for solutions rather than solutions for problems. The problem that we need to retrain to use mounts in the cold comes from the solution that is to regrant access to mounts. The solution comes before the problem. The problem is, thus, contrived. Mounts, on the other hand, solved an existing perceived issue among certain players(what fraction I could not say) that our characters were too immobile. I remember many builds pre-PoF would include utilities just to help you traverse maps a bit faster.

If you want to walk... walk... no one is stopping you. How any one else explores the map has no bearing on how you explore the map. I still cannot believe how many years it took GW to get mounts. Even Ultima Online had horses in 1997 ha ha :)

I’m happy enough seeing it implemented in the story instance like it was. If it lends itself to a world event experience too, all the better.

Maybe the best compromise would be to make flying less of a risk-free environment than it is right now. The devs could implement some flying “obstacles” the same way they have made some “flying” targets in the prologue.
