So with rifle 4 being fairly reactable now. Why does it still knock back the engineer? It made sense while it was almost instanious but with almost no stability in engineers kit should this still knockback?

There really is no reason for it to still knock back the engineer. Especially since they also removed all damage from the skill in PvP. When GW2 started, it was an interesting mechanic for a spell that was quite potent as an almost instant CC. But nowadays, the skill really isn't as impressive anymore.

 

Time to remove the self knockback.

definetly needs knockback removed , makes no sense as it is, no other profession has drawbacks on their ranged cc attacks

I agree with you guys, the tradeoff of this skill now is too much. I prefer the old knockback rather than this huge casting time, but having both drawbacks is making me not even using the skill at all.

Works really well with grenades motor.

 

The skill has huge potential as a playmaker in 2v2s so I think it's still worth if even if you aren't running grenades.
