Symbols count as 2 hits because of a minor trait

There is almost no reason to care about this though. No class is op as a profession as far as I know.

Thief was almost always meta and it always ran shortbow
Plus, Chaotic Interruption was fine for 5 years. Why did it get removed then? Worst argument ever.
-
@"Dave.6819" what you are missing is this, anet will almost never remove sb5 so you are stuck to that for your class. Go roll a mesmer, right now it's just thief without sb5.

Was Chaotic Interruption problematic before that one mirage build?
Writ of Persistence needed to go, 10/10 change.

Those are the 3x builds that are required to be in play if your team is trying hard to win against other teams that are trying hard. These 3 builds are that important right now because they are that powerful.

Warrior is better than tempest

It hits the correct things, but it was way, way too late at this point.
-
If they knew what was strong already, why did this small patch take a million years? I know the answer, but it's funny.

Don't you have the stability road? That's your stunbreak, you just need to use it before getting stunned.

I don't want SotM to be what it was when the perfect cast could delete 50% of someone's health, but we kind of swung too far in the other direction when you're doing 9 damage per hit and we're also stuck with this awful delay.
In my opinion, staff should be a pure self defense + utility weapon like it is right now. There is no need for it to do good damage (maybe except for autos).
But we'd be here all day if we argue design choices so let's leave it at that.

No it's not outdated. Shortbow has more power damage than condi btw, and also condis suck.

It does no damage, still has to be manually aimed, the delay makes sidestepping it ridiculously easy and there's no benefit for even getting that lucky perfect line up.
It's a very good DEFENSIVE tool. There is almost no reason to use it offensively.

Thankfully dire and trailblazer don't exist in pvp, lol

Because he is working on the expansion? Try watching wvw streams on Guild Wars 2 twitch channel. He already explained why the patch is late.

You know he can't do "reworks" right? In your list, he only did the 300s cooldown change (you can hate on the actual skills team for not reworking them), stability nerf and warrior/mesmer nerfs.

Tell me the difference between these two scenarios
1) Renegade porting in, using shortbow 3 + impossible odds (dealing x damage in total) then running away. That happens in like 1-2 seconds.
2) Condi mirage porting in, using axe 2 + jaunt + f2 (takes like 1-2 seconds) and running away. Dealing x damage with conditions.
I think they are both pretty similar things. Both builds stayed in for 1-2 seconds, dealt x damage.
Power build did that damage in 1-2 seconds while condi build did that in 2-3-4 seconds. Both left the fight after 1-2 seconds.

They actually did hotfix patches very frequently right after february patch, believe me or not.
For some reason this slowly died out.

why are YOU typing like this?
-
The map design is weird, it's very vertical.
-
For what? PvP? PvE? WvW roaming or WvW zerging?

Buff mesmer
-
1) optimization
2) stat selectable dungeon armor/weapons
3) actually well designed elite specs

What anti-throwing system

Yes healbreaker is heal shout spellbreaker.

That isn't a nerf, it's a bugfix. It wasn't there before a certain patch.
Thoughts on today's "balance"?
