Did some testing, your first interpretation is correct, it's just that they worded it badly by referring to power damage as physical/strike damage

This is a fairly straightforward change that would benefit both the gvg scene and the people looking for duels in wvw. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement from a technical standpoint, but I can't really see any drawbacks to the idea since OS is dead most of the time anyways.

I've unchecked "Override high DPI scaling behavior" in the properties of Gw2-64.exe, but the issue with launcher scaling persists. However, I did notice that I can leave it enabled and select "System" instead of "Application" from the drop-down menu under the checkbox, which solves the problem of the launcher opening partway under the edge of the screen (but does nothing about the scaling). There's also a "System (Enhanced)" option in the drop-down menu, but selecting that seems to make it impossible to move, minimize, or close the launcher window normally. This is on a Windows 10 system.


Edit: Unfortunately this seems to break the DPI scaling checkbox in-game, so it's not as useful a workaround as I originally thought.

Looking for some clarification on this, my pvp panel says 10/16 but one of my friends (lives in eu, playing on na region) has it showing 10/17. anyone know the exact time?

Generally the solution would be to either disable auto-attack or to detarget enemies before casting skills. However, if neither of these are an option you can also bind Stow Weapon to a key under miscellaneous options and use it to cancel the auto-attack before it goes off.
