Through mental conditioning people are lulled into a false sense of security for an activity that can be dangerous. Crossing the street has clearly become compulsive as people feel compelled to reach the other side and yet they engage in risky street crossing behavior despite the scientifically proven detrimental outcomes of this activity. Pretty much the same statement and argument you said.

Theres 0 logic and Its like saying I play gw2 which is an mmorpg but I really hate the rpg element of it. Take it out and it will be perfect.

Yes RNG is a joke here, and i play because there is more to this game than gambling on stuff.. I mostly play the stories..

    > Please, no invisible walls. It's generally considered a bad game design and is so prevalent in GW2. "Strong currents" and other options are so much better than a straight-to-your-face invisible wall.

Kicking customers mid game is way way worse..

Yes we are the player characters, are its threat.

  5. Be pretty cool to team up with her.

Because they are not willing to compromise.. they are not willing to change their minds and offer discourse until Jormag.. And i believe only Jormag wants to team up because she considers us a threat.. Evil does those things.. Not good.

  6. Honestly i'm not sure i would buy another expansion.. I never play in them much as it is because they are so over tooled.. I kinda don't enjoy how hardcore they make them especially with hot, being downed 24/7 just makes me leave.. I seldom go there no matter what loot is involved, so more of the same i wouldn't waste money on.

Need more casual content like tyria then i'd buy them.

Thats simple lower the costs and grind. People will then make them.

Agreed, usually dev companies are silent as they work on projects, this Everything is ok nothing to see here reminds me of those comedy movies..

    > They def need to add whips to the game, I remember while doing one of the dungeons, I think twilight arbor or something..it was the sylvari one, there were enemies able to use whips at us, so yeah I agree. If not Necro, Thief or Warrior. I also think Spears/Tridents should be usable on land too. Seeing Guardian's with fist weapons would be cool, but it would also be nice for warrior or thiefs, I do agree Thief needs Katana, or to have an assassin specialization, and Rangers should've had all guns to begin with. Mesmer/Mace combo is something I never heard of, but right now since they already can use 1 pistol, i'd like them to be able to use them in both hands. It's silly that their phantasm can use both pistols but we can't.

    >

    > As far as Revnant goes, I'd appreciate ANY weapon for them because their selection is severely lacking compared to other classes..as well as their combinations. ( with the current changes of today )

    >

    > These all sound cool though! Even the people I didn't quote. Sorry it took me a while to say anything, I was getting over an illness. ^^

All good just throwing out ideas, the steam pets would work like Rangers pets but need to be much more durable. Also the engi could ride inside (drive) them like ranger melds with theirs.

If anet needs incentives they could add steam pet skins to the black lion..

    Asuras could use Golems etc.

  10. Disagree completely i still mostly play in tyria even after all these expansions because tyria is the most friendly place to play.. Hot is a living nightmare and Pof needs more waypoints..

Power creep is exactly right at the moment, and easy content isn't bad at all.

    > I don't find much content that I play difficult, but I'm glad for it. I don't care about challenge, I want to have fun. Having to blow my cooldowns on a random mob just sounds wasteful. For me, this would just make core Tyria significantly more tedious and time consuming. Given that recent balance patches feel like unfun nerfs for most classes, I think OP might get their wish eventually. =(

    Totally agree.

  11. Does it matter, i assume there are males and females of all species.. how else would they procreate.. Dragon Eggs remember..

Which is not that surprising if you follow say the Celts were nearly all run by females.

    > > > >

    > > > > I don't feel like there are things to work towards that capture my attention in the way GW2 has done up to this point. Even things like raid legendary armors, which I only have 56 or so LI out of 150 for my first set; I know I'll get QoL upgrades from them but like... so what if it's the same as any humdrum ascended I can make easily or obtain pretty quickly via WvW or PvP? And again, it doesn't have to be gear grind related, it's just that this is almost always the first thing people bring up (yes, me too).

    > > > My view on this is that the "stuff" that should capture my attention should **not** be better gear. Better gear always gets followed by adjusting mob difficulty to match, so that the end relative difficulty remains the same. This doesn't give me the feeling of progress - it gives me the feeling that all the work i have done is wasted, because i have ended in exactly the same spot i have started from. All i would be doing is running in place. Moreover, once you stop running for even a moment, you see yourself sliding backwards, which is also a feeling i absolutely hate.

    > > >

    > > > Gear/stat continuous upgradins is not progress. It is an illusion of progress meant to fool you into not noticing that all you do is run in place, like a good hamster. I refuse to be fooled that way. I prefer to be fooled by shinies. And good, new content i could run with friends.

    > > >

    > >

    > > I'll be the first person to tell you that I used to think of it that way too - like level cap increases and gear cap increases were just moving the carrot-on-a-stick from one treadmill to another. But the idea to me is that mobs, for example, haven't been harder for quite some time. I'm not sure anyone would suggest "Well just play the game in Greens if you want a challenge then!"

    > >

    >

    > but the way gear treadmills work...is once you get that better gear....the harder enimies are no longer harder....so you're not only back to where you started....everything below those enemies is even easier.

Which is how it should stay.
