  1. I think we can talk about the first sign of an unwinnable situation when you get +1ed somewhere, survive through kiting, bind them and your team still manages to lose the rest of the map in a 4v3. But then again, every game can be winnable - happens all the time that a team gets a grip halfway through the match in games that most would consider unwinnable

Except that I mentioned both, Burn DH and Rev. If we say both specs will be nerfed in the future, there is really not anything problematic left, except maybe Soulbeasts as sidenoders. All the problematic specs falling slowly out of meta will also enable less played classes like Mesmer

  3. Thing is - if a big balance patch would be coming, they would/should announce it a few weeks earlier and we haven‘t gotten anything in the past weeks.

I still hope a balance patch is coming next update, but I think you are right and Anet won‘t deliver, despite all the frustration right now

  4. Nothing is happening in PvP - we don‘t get new content, new rewards, regular balancing or any feedback. Sad to see how the mode is declining and how little is done to stop it.

Maybe you are working on something we don‘t know about, but as it is right now, many don‘t even bother to log on anymore for sPvP

  5. Most top players do exactly what you are trying to stop, pushing far directly or from close to far into a 1v1 they know they will win and if they get +1‘ed, they stall through kiting and jumping puzzles in order to bind people in a 2v1, while the rest of the map falls into their hands in a 4v3, winning them the match. You pretend like they are afk‘ing on point and leaving the rest up for slaughter when in reality they are in a 1v1 or 2v1 at far 90% of the time with the exception when they defeat an enemy, whom they basically spawn camp from that point on, leaving the rest of you in a 4v4 while one point is constantly ticking in your favor

This whole talk of „only play close and mid“ is typical gold division talk - players who get baited in a 2v1 or 3v1 at their close against one tanky scrapper/decap druid/soulbeast/spellbreaker/weaver and lose the rest of the map, because they refuse to send someone far are daily proof of that. Playing sides will always be more strategically favorable than playing close and mid

Yes you could look at it like that, but I think preventing the damage people do, who play mostly just one class and have a limited understanding of the game, has priority. It is ridiculous to see how build diversity has gone to 0, because of unjustified & unresearched critique

Thats actually a good critique, I haven't thought of that - even more of a reason to have the requirements set at P1 or G3.

I chose specifically Plat 1, since Plat 2 and above would basically mean only Top 100 players would be allowed in to take place in balancing issues and it could therefore be heavily exploited by strong teams, who usually place quite high. I think Plat 1 would be a great compromise, since it is close anyways to Top 250.

And I agree even some plat players don‘t know what is going on, but an average plat player has generally more understanding of the game than a silver player, it is just facts or divisions as a whole would make no sense

  9. Idea is simple, too many unskilled players are confusing Anet by constantly crying about stuff, that actually isn‘t strong. I feel like taking part in balancing issues should only be allowed at a certain skill level, meaning if you reached Plat 1 to Legendary in your last season. Letting people in lower divisions take part in such important decisions will just further ruin the quality of the meta, because most of them don‘t know what they are actually talking about

  10. Meanwhile ArenaNet is working on new chair skins lmao. Guild Wars 2 always had potential, but the devs have the wrong priorities. No post game player will stay long when PvP is straight garbage for several months of the year, but that doesn‘t seem to go through ArenaNets head
