  1. Not gonna ask for more than what we will be given.

Decently Balanced especs that won't blow subpar specs rn out of the water entirely. As a warrior main, I want a duelist spec for my class, but at the same time if that's not what they go for, I hope that Berserker will not be forgotten entirely (it already sucks as a roamer). The rest I don't really care for. Some thief ideas on assassins drew my attention and for Rvenant an evil legend.

  2. I actually hate SUpport Spellbreaker in WvW, so instead of running shouts, I go full tank and stay around for the strips. I see more use in being a power warrior who strips boons than a splash heal warrior who dies if the enemy pushes too hard. #GoPower , trait strips and you got a warrior who is in the frontline and has no issue with it. Better strip 300 boons than fart some 3k heal. Warrior duelist for next espec. I can only hope.

  3. Final Chapter, Primodus rises to the surface and Jormag flies inside a storm of cold and ice. As they prepare to fight one another, Menzies the absolute unit arrives and fights Primordus to force him undeground and sap some of his powers, while Grenth jumps in from the mists and restrains Jormag. Anise has given the Commander the Shining Blade and Lazarus' soul within it directs the energy of the dragons to the remains of the Bloodstone, so they go back to sleep. Grenth winks at us and leaves and Menzies chills in the Ring of Fire praised by all the races. Lazarus is still alive in the shining blade and we are rdy for Cantha.

Not bait, legit 100% info from inside the studio.

  4. _Sword/Dagger Warrior *clown*_

just kidding. Is this for WvW or PvP? If not go anything you want. I'm not very sure on PvP, but I sure am for WvW.

Daredevil Sw/Dg if an infamous power build with a lot of disengage potential.

I recently tried a shortbow trapper druid with Sw/Dg and damn, are these plenty of evades. I'm not an experienced ranger so others may play better with this set, or think that it's trash.

Then there's also Sw/Dg Weaver. Classic piano training.

  5. I cant roam or zerg with a group without knowing how to make the most out of my or my team's moves. The moment I see a water field, I blast it, if a fire field is down, ill use it for might and burn dmg, light field cleanses are a basic thing to do. Stealthing is essential for fights. Being unable to perform basic combos is a ticket out of competetive gameplay (wvw at least) in my eyes. How do you expect to play any class and not know that when you drop water fields you blast them, or cleanse burning underneath oils with light fields? Granted mass swiftness or mass aura combos dont see much use, but they are always better than no combo.

    > I'm very angry that it seems you cut out the part shown in trailer implying centaurs and I guess, kraits. I expected 2 more maps instead of 4 chapters, one left of drizzlewood and one north or harathi hinterlands, making somehow a link between core maps and icebrood saga. Again, angry and sad.

YES! I'd love to see the Verdant Cascades return (with perhaps Tengu trying to keep out any Charr and their civil war), and some way to feel the gap between Harathi, Snowden and the Cascades. Isn't Anvil Rock supposed to be there? Just imagine this region filled with leftovers of Stone Summit Dwarves who wish to assault southern areas (they are corrupted from Primordus I think in the strike mission no?) and a spot where more destroyers would start appearing.

  7. All this and unfortunately, I'm under the impression that the Expac will be rather limited. 4 maps, smaller than PoF maps and that's it. I mean it would be the same as the other 2 expacs, but the whole effort that's being said to be put in the expac, ontop of the game receving scarce updates for the span of probably a year before said expac comes out, tells to me that EoD will not sustain the game for 2 or 3 years like PoF. I joined in 2019, so old players may disagree, but thats what I feel like. As a rather new player.

All those DRMs could have easily been open world metas in new maps. Ofc this is me simply fanboying, but since these are strictly cosmetic/pve updates, at least do that correct and make it feel rewarding!

And see them not even making a Kodan allied faction by the end of this, hell centaurs even. Means what we saw in release trailers was all fake worldbuilding lol.

  10. Support Firebrand (heals/boons mostly), Support Scrapper (cleanses/heals), Support Chronomancer (boons/strips), Support Spellbreaker (strips/low heal, low boon support) are the current meta.

Metabattle and any other sites have these builds in their first page about wvw. Each site may tweak them a bit depending on the situation. Overall choose Guardian and you can be offensive or defensive at any given moment.

    > > Cant disagree, but the point stands. Berserker is only useful as condi in groups. No other way to play it. Power is there for 3 bursts and it's over. It's a very pve spec. Only there can power berserker be sustained. As a warrior main, I just dont want to play SBP or Core (with the same weapons and skills mind you) all the time.

    > >

    > > Granted a more wvw response than a pvp response, but small scale roaming is just like that.

    >

    > Aside from the issues both condi and power berserker have, power is an entirely different beast to tackle in terms of balance. The CC damage nerf hit it much harder than most, and power zerk has much more predictable and easier to mitigate damage than condi. Add in that you need squishier stats and the degree that the damage power does is nerfed so much, I don't know when it will be viable again.

I'm afraid that with EoD, Berserker will never be viable again and be forgotten. My hypothesis is that they may pull off a hybrid warrior build (defense + offense) without being SBP or Berserker tier in either. Basically an enhanced Core warrior. I doubt that they can introduce a roamer as good, if not better than spellbreaker, but in both cases, I don't see Berserker keeping up with the game anymore.

It requires greatsword for mobility and shield for blocking. Skills that root you (Gs 2) in 2021 meta, kill you. warrior suffers as a whole. It's not about getting the power creep back, but at looking how this class can finally breathe. Ofc I mention what has been said ever since PoF, so meh. Let's wait and see.

Cant disagree, but the point stands. Berserker is only useful as condi in groups. No other way to play it. Power is there for 3 bursts and it's over. It's a very pve spec. Granted a more wvw response than a pvp response, but small scale roaming is just like that.

Full Counter already a major callback to SDS

Just your normal daily espec suggestion

I'd say meditrapper DH, Staff DD and Berserker Roamer have given me a good taste of face to face combat with very bad sustain and bursts. Weaver seems to have many alternatives. It will be tough, but i wish to try it out. I imagine this class isnt supposed to kite at all tho?
