  1. I like both for different reasons.

Firebrand is flashy and has a ton of utility even while running zerker gear in pve. In PVP I think I fared better on DH, Firebrand feels squishy or I just need to get used to the spec :)

  2. You might want to check out the guides on this forum or just qtfy's page itself

    https://qtfy.eu/guildwars/guardian/condi-fb/

You can run sinister or viper gear for now, but it's important to actually have the correct utilities not to mention know which buttons to press so to say.

As Dark said - focus on gearing first (you don't need ascended armor for now, focus on ascended trinkets and weapons with the right stats) and on learning the class itself.

Guardian's rotation is kind of easy.

  3. Oh yeah sure, and while you're at it, please make engie rotations easy cause although I love the class in pvp and wvw I avoid playing it in raids due to the "fun" rotation lol

Not every class is for everyone, not every spec is for everyone. Weaver seems well balanced in that you get all these dual attunements BUT for a price - i.e. the global cooldown.

  4. Just to fill out the blanks.

First of all - gear =/= higher damage in this game (not like in wow anyway). You can get the 2nd highest tier gear by doing dungeons, buying it from Karma vendors in Orr or for Badges of Honor in WvW. That gear will allow you to do all content, unless you start doing Fractals of the Mists.

You should focus on buying ascended trinkets (rings, amulet, accessories) from the laurel vendors or if you start doing fractals for Pristine fractal relics (you get drops as well).

There's a ton of nice armor skins from the Cultural armor vendors, it's some of the nicest armor in this game imo.

The main goal in GW2 will always be to learn your class as you can easily outdps someone in full ascended even in yellows by actually knowing how to play your class. So focus on that. Plus if you start doing dungeons and fractals and raids the first thing to learn is not to die :) because - dead dps = 0 dps :) (does not mean you need to wear super tanky stats. Just learn to dodge etc.

  5. Dungeons are still fun to run, give decent loot and aren't as boring as fractals (to me anyway). Plus, it's instanced 5 man content so it's the same category.

Regarding what Egrimm said - story mode is a ton easier than explorable, which is why you can run story mode as soon as it unlocks (gives decent xp). Most dungeon paths were soloable since forever, so why do you need a "solo option"?
