According to the lore, they were _all_, regardless of faction, connected to The Great Dwarf, and it was this connection that was the basis for the transformation ritual. Basically, due to this, no dwarf was able to avoid being subject to the ritual - If they didn't like it, still the best they could hope for was to delay the effect for a while. > > So, all of them eventually succumbing to the ritual is not exactly surprising or doubtful. > > Even so, magic exists in the world. Maybe some sort of quest to find something that would revert the dwarves from stone? Just a thought. I could see two things happening. We either kill Primordus and all dwarves revert back to flesh and bones, or Primordus corrupts and destroys the remaining dwarves while we fight him. @"Ashantara.8731" As far as we know, it seems that all dwarves were turned to stone, even the Stone Summit. We can see this with the corrupted Stone Summit in the Steel Strike mission, as Primordus seems to only corrupt stone. The parts of the Depths of Tyria that we explored in GW1 are an extremely large and vast place under Tyria and all the Dwarves there, reaching far and wide were turned to stone.

We don't know anything about them, and we've only met the assassins from their race. I mean, imagine meeting a ninja, and believing everyone in Japan looks and acts exactly like that ninja you just met. > > Still, even if the wings were part of their bodies, helms hide asura ears and charr horns all the time, so it would be a non-issue. No, I am not assuming that largos wings aren't backpacks. I already said exactly what you just said. > @"Ogwom.7940" said: > **Though perhaps they could make it so that the fins are just an addition to their armour or something?** If they did that, they would still have the issue with adding the original fins as a non gemstore item, since many people already paid real money for that specific skin. I do one hundred percent agree though, that they could just hide it like how they do with asura ears, charr horns and etc. > @"Lonami.2987" said: > Alternatively, I wouldn't be surprised if the third playable race was the [sidhe](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Sidhe) / [wardens](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Warden) instead, developing them as "sylvari but ancient and tall instead of young and short", or by giving them a golem-like appearance, their bodies made of stones and vines. Depends on the direction they take with them once we arrive to Cantha, for all we know they might end up being just sylvari with new character customization options. This would be pretty cool, but I am slightly doubtful that they would be playable, since we already have a plant based playable race. Maybe if they just happen to look like sylvari in GW2 and they get new hairstyles, I could see our sylvari characters getting more customization options too, like the Olmakhan in LS4/PoF.
  3. I made binding of Ipos in the summer and now this beast of a weapon comes into gemstore lol. I feel slight regret as this weapon looks extremely legendary to me haha
  4. @"Solanum.6983" I don’t think largos will be likely at all because, 1. They have giant wing like fins on their backs, so you wouldn’t be able to use back items. 2. There is already a largos wing/fin back item skin from the gemstore. Though perhaps they could make it so that the fins are just an addition to their armour or something? If they did that, they would still have the issue with adding the original fins as a non gemstore item, since many people already paid real money for that specific skin. Addressing what you and @"kharmin.7683" said about dwarves. I don’t see it happening over tengu and it would be very unlikely that we would get dwarves as a playable race. Lore wise, dwarves have all turned to stone, so there wouldn’t be a lot of customization available. Another point is that since we are getting a dwarf stone infusion that turns all your skin to stone just like a dwarf, it wouldn’t make sense to have dwarves as a race as well, since the infusion would contradict with it. The tone of the Rubicon states that they would be “forever transformed”, so I don’t know if they will ever turn back to normal. Perhaps there could be a way, or perhaps we are slightly misinterpreting the vague descriptions inside tome, since back in EotN, we didn’t know exactly what the Rite of the Great Dwarf entailed nor did we know what exactly a Great Destroyer was. Dwarves were part of the ancient races from the previous elder dragon rise. To me it would make more sense to have tengu come in as a playable race, because they have way more customization options, they are a “newer” race compared to the jotun, dwarves, etc and fit much better lore wise. I personally would love either of them as a playable race, but I don’t want to get my hopes up high haha
  5. Last year in the summer and the fall, I crafted Binding of Ipos, Claw of the Kahn Ur, Howler, Pharus and the Warbringer (my 3rd legendary backpack lol). I also bought the visage of the Khan Ur and bought 2 different exclusive mount skins with all the gold I made. I am not sure what to do now honestly, I am thinking to craft Astralaria but I already have Frostfang. I don’t have a legendary mace, so I might go for the Moot or Astralaria this month. Other than that, I just plan to continue playing dungeons and exploring old maps in Ascalon and Shiverpeaks while having GW1 music playing in the background until EOD comes by haha. I might also begin to RP.
  6. @"Fenom.9457" True say. Let’s keep our fingers crossed xD
  7. Yeah I was really hoping to get the snow leopard and wolf shaman skins. The snow leopard one looks really cool, just wish it would come.
  8. That’s pretty neat. I just wish we could get the wolf and snow leopard shaman armour skins. The trailer also seems to depict a share with a new cape that could look similar to the the beast slayer weapon set. I am guessing it will be a gemstone item.
  9. @"lokh.2695" I already specifically said that my points weren’t very strong. Your replies are worded in a slightly passive aggressive tone, but anyways for the most part I already completely agree with a lot of your points. I was just giving examples as to why tengu could be viable. Also, just because Anet may not have built or will never build the Dominion of Winds, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist lol. Lore wise it is canon that the tengu have main city, regardless if you want them to or not. This is just anecdotal but I haven’t met a person who actually enjoys the cutscenes from the vanilla personnel story. I haven’t met a person who constantly replays the vanilla story and in fact lots of people I know just skipped it. I am not saying that this is GW2’s whole demographic and I should have presented actual statistics before commenting on this conversation. In my previous reply I meant to distinguish between the voice acting of new content versus the old content. Do more people play living world story and content more than vanilla’s story? I would think so, though I may be wrong. Again we would have to look at statistics. When I did play Drizzlewood when it first released, it was quite packed and I saw numerous people. That’s why I also think that the people who really want voice acting could be the vocal minority? Again my example there is only anecdotal. To me, it would be really cool to play as and customize a new race, but I am hesitant even with that since we barely get new hairstyles, faces, horns tattoos and etc. I guess they did update hairs with PoF, but that was just for humans mostly with reworks on chart horns. I would have liked to have seen more born customization for IBS. To go back to tengu, I also see that they are using them as allies in the new content, similar to the ebon vanguard, crystal bloom and etc, which makes me think they will just be NPCs sadly and nothing more.
  10. I would be slightly disappointed if I don't see tengu as playable race in EoD, but not devastated. I can understand why they wouldn't implement it, since it will take a lot of work, but there are also factors that really support the idea that they could become playable. 1. They were initially planned to be a playable race before vanilla's release. 2. They have a main city. 3. We don't necessarily need to have voice acting or a lengthy story mode, since I doubt many people enjoyed the vanilla core story. 4. We don't need to have voice acting for past content, Drizzlewood's release wasn't horrible without VA, and so many people skip dialogue in dungeons and past content from the vanilla game anyway. Just focus VA on new content. 5. The have new improved model and animations since HoT which look really great. 6. Mounts, Elona, Cantha and Gliding all came true, regardless of people saying it wouldn't come. Other than that, I don't see any other races becoming playable as much as tengu could. My points I listed aren't necessarily the strongest, which means I don't wouldn't be surprised if tengu don't become playable. Don't get your hopes and don't have high expectations. Just be pleasantly surprised if it does come.
  11. Can we get a Rox’s quiver in the gemstone again? :D It’s not been in the gemstone for a really long time it seems.
  12. @"sail.7641" I think it’s a pretty neat idea, though I don’t think they will bother to shift resources to produce that. Sadly people here always like to shunt new ideas and suggestions. You can’t go 3 steps without someone with a PhD in a certain game mode coming after you.
  13. @"Teranas.6150" I really like these ideas, especially the food/utility duration and the skills I would prefer to have masteries that have some sort of passive effect anywhere in PvE. Certain HoT masteries and LS3 Masteries are completely useless in most places outside of their maps (since mushrooms and oakheart vines aren't available in other maps) and even mounts out compete them. The poison mastery is a cool function, but we only see it in very few places, and lots of people just skip those areas. I want to have some sort of incentive to use these masteries instead of them being empty
  14. I play dungeons and fractals, strikes and raids from time to time. DRM are just pointless and very boring. My favourite of these are dungeons. I wish they could add more dungeons (no cutscenes or even voiced dialogue needed). They are quite engaging and I love the story and sense of progression in them as well as the different and beautiful environments/structures. Adding more dungeons would also allow us to obtain new armour sets and weapon sets. I would also fix all dungeons (old and new), to increase the final boss difficulty and mechanics. Give better rewards and mats to give incentive to play there more. Fix bugs in old dungeons.
  15. What I really liked about this episode was that that we went back to old places and like Rata Sum, which is really awesome. Also, the zones in the DRMs have an actual sense of danger instead of always thinking that they are untouchable places that you would find low level mobs in, as well as the dialogue with some Asura npcs who describe how Asura feel about Primordus to this day. I am excited to see what they bring next week. Also @"blackheartgary.8605" , people mistake their issue with the devs working on the game with the people managing the company. The devs do really great work. Look at the Vision's of the Past and Prologue episodes. Those were some of the best LS content I've played, with lots of achievs, good story, fun content, new armor/weapon skins. I do agree that people complain quite a lot, especially for unnecessary things, but constructive criticisms is needed. I would hate to see this game go to waste since it has so much potential. I am worried that DRMs won't be played much and that it could be a wasted concept. It is very fun story wise and combat wise, but farming it? I am not sure yet. Anyways just to some it up, people just put their expectations too high I believe. I had to learn that in real life, because you will always just be disappointed with everything. Oh- and I forgot, I completely love the new raptor skin. It is something I always wanted.
  16. They don't want players to blow through all the content on the first day. I honestly really don't know what is going to happen next week after the time gate... more story? This episode was a flop. We keep getting weapon sets, and this is the 3rd storm caller set we are getting which most people won't even get because of the huge gold sink when they all look the same and overly flashy. I just hope that the later masteries are not tied to Dragon Response Missions and are actually beneficial to all parts of PvE content, so that we get a sense of progression. So from what we got so far, I am not too hopeful of anything great in the next few days after the time gate. Just go about doing your normal stuff and then be pleasantly surprised if anything comes of it.
  17. This episode was quite disappointing for me. No new content, a 3rd redo of Stormcaller skins, plus another weapon set. and some more useless masteries that you won't be able to use anywhere else in the game, except the Dragon Response Missions that no one will play. Can we get masteries that will improve our characters on all PvE modes? Some sort of progression? Can we get new armor sets? They were doing so well with the more simplistic armor pieces such as: Norn Shaman Armor, Charr, Dragonrender and Khan Ur helms and the Stone Summit armor. Right now we just have so many weapon sets that are way too flashy. I was hoping that they would be improving some core maps, so we would have some incentive to go back there. Putting the mobs from the Dragon Response Missions into the core maps wouldn't hurt the game since those are places where you find destroyers anyways. It gives good contrast and also would make the Dragon Minions feel like an actual threat in open world. The dialogue was okay, but they talked about stuff we already knew. No new interesting subjects were brought up. I feel bad about complaining about these things since it is a buy-once-play-always-for free game. I just don't want to see it go downhill just yet.
  18. In GW1's Eye of the North, there were asura gates underneath Kamadan and Kaineng Centre. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw asura in Cantha. Perhaps some asura from one of the underground cities made it to Cantha sometime around the death of the Great Destroyer? There are also the Dredge Tunnels underground too, but I think that would be less likely for asura to travel through.
