  1. > > Jormag has been talking about not being a threat, but all of its minions and actions have been pretty kitten threatening. I mean, sure, Primordus wasn't a surprise - but because of Season 3 which explicitly called them each others' weaknesses. But Jormag has a **_long_** history of not being trustworthy. Strategy wise its better to lose the battle to win the war. We should have gone straight to Jormag and killed it and let whatever burn, burn. Primordus is the red herring Jormag keeps deflecting to IMO. Now we have 2 Elder dragons to contend with, Aurene spread thin and once we use all our energy and resources to quell Primordus, Jormag will probly swoop in like we expect it to for "our own good" and commence covering Tyria in ice to preserve it.
  2. They need to fix the bug when graphics are hidden behind the water even with the item is above the water but the texture acts like its in front of it i.e. the volatile magic orbs around certain water areas.
  3. Spellbreaker seems like its more slanted for pvp combat. There are builds that are just more efficient overall for PVE gameplay. -Meditations skills seem so PVP centered and should get an overhaul for PVE. -Featherfoot Grace-Superspeed in PVE is rarely useful, I'm just not in many scenarios where I receive a lot of condition damage and if I am a 30 second timer doesn't help much. -Sight beyond sight is so oddly specific, its great for PVP but in PVE if I already have high precision so my criticals are just fine and make it irrelevant, removing blindness is just as irrelevant since it takes 1 attack to get rid of it, maybe it could cut current condition duration on you or something more useful. -I like some of the traits but I do think Meditations should get its own enhancement from a trait i.e. reduce cooldown/more damage etc. -Magebane maybe in PVE when it despawns could maybe knock them down if they were never pulled. In PVE creatures rarely run away from you like they would in PVP.

One of them would be taken off making LW episodes to being primary development of the expansion, and as the various champions chapters get finished, the teams for those chapters, who no longer have IBS Saga to make, would be moved to help EoD's development. > > There is nothing chaotic about this development process. Its how they have been doing LW and expansion development for years, and how other MMO devs do it also. This is how games are made in general. > > And as I pointed out earlier, this has been the plan since at least January, probably since late last year. This whole Champions thing was planned out a year ago. Its not some 11th hour change to IBS because they moved so many people over to EoD that they don't have the people to make the content they originally planned or anything. You make great explanations of rhyme and reason...SO... why did we get DRMs in their lackluster quality?

I always thought it was weird to have these design teams (what was it over the years 3,4,5?) who work on an episode each and leapfrog to the next one. From the DRMs released to lukewarm reviews and EOD likely in a year I think we're seeing every poor decision catch up to them. > M8, the leapfrogging thing is how GAMES are made in general. > > Like, every game developer has multiple teams of people who are constantly leapfrogging over each other on projects. That's the only way game companies are able to release games in general as fast as they do. Its very rare that everyone in a game studio works on one thing, then everyone moves onto the next thing. > > And Anet does work on the 6 month model like Cryptic. There is nothing of Champions episodes 3/4 done yet because no one is working on them yet since that is content WAY too out there to have any solid development done of them. And that is how Living World has worked since forever. but their all working on EOD rn, allegedly. You can't tell me all this chaotic development doesn't have an impact on quality, M8.

I actually think its smarter to have a bigger team for content under a year and a small team for content years away. That way you aren't having to constantly trying to catch up and thus only able to deliver very small updates/loot per festival and episode release. They obviously have it backward and a game director would be letting them know that...
  10. Its all about marketting. Its 2020....most of us have played this content for years and maybe even more MMORPGs than Gw2 so we have to wowed. How could they possibly think 8 year old models would be good enough in today's new content? Change the models even just a tiny bit aesthetically that's why their boring. Make them a deeper orange and maybe a few more lava spikes SOMETHING and bam its the illusion of content. They need to stop phoning some decisions in.
  11. > > They repost stuff on twitter more per day then post on their forum in a year xD I bet you...i BET you Alliances is coming WITH the expansion.
  12. Ya know...they could have done some PVE inside WvW "mode" i.e. Tyria travels to the mists to wage war with different realities...or gods...or monsters....or whatever cosmic mists entity you could imagine (fractured observatory anyone?) but we get one dev (harding hard no doubt) to try to satisfy anything and everything. Feelsbadman. I wish Anet would commit more resources to this mode.

Nicabar may have questioned Bangar's actions, but he was loyal to his warband leader, and Ryland told him to follow Bangar, so he did. The capture of Cinder likely made it personal for the rest of the Steel Warband to fight against the United Legions. Probably a small possibility Ryland would have revealed his ambitions and joined us (and Steel) if we hadn't killed Cinder.

I'm so lost. > It was Jormag who corrupted the spirits, and its to the dragon their power went too. We helped remind them who they were, so they would give their powers to Braham to defeat Drakker, but the spirits mention they don't believe they can ever be free of Jormag's corruption in Drizzlewood. So Jormag still has their powers, which is why Fallen and Aberrant creatures show up during the attack on the Frost Citadel Ah so we can extrapolate that Bangar/Jormag/Shaman/The Spirits themselves/ SOMEONE (thankyou lore?) is giving these Dominion troops the spiritual essence. Also, did we ever find out why Steel Warband recommited themselves to Bangar's cause? Nicabar was questioning the movement then SPLAT.

The public system works like the pvp system, once you are lock into the instance, you can not leave. If you dc and come back you are forced back in. For drms that a pretty good feature because it is not hard to complete. The reason I know this was i made the mistake to join a public lair of the snowmen. The puggles were so bad i wanted leave after watching 9 people ignore the simplest of mechanics and just spam 1. Then to my horror, i could not leave. Every time i reloged I was forced back in. I ended up just loging out for the night. It is a bummer when in the Cm DRM since its private so you can't get back in if you DC :/

  17. Was it ever explained why the Dominion Charr have the 3 corrupted spirit essences? In the timeline didn't we kill Drakkar and subjugate the corrupted spirits? 19. > > And I don’t think Champions is that bad. I like a lot of the ideas and concepts, but there’s definitely quality control issues. I agree. While I'll always be firm in my critiques I definitely try not to be unrealistically harsh or problematic. They've had to deal with founders leaving, leads leaving, 150ish people being let go and covid. They've had a rough 2 years so I take the content in stride over all. Is IBS overall good? IMO yes. Are DRMS good? Eh...def need some fine tuning and better communication about how all of this is unfolding but if things are so disorganized or up in the air then they literally can't tell us anything since things change week to week I assume. If people want to checkout until the expansion that's fair but I wouldn't waste my time slobbing all over the keyboard lamenting the game too much. They know the DRM release isn't that great; you would have to be blind and deaf not to. QA is usually slow; POF optimized its rewards years later and we got underwater skimmer years later. Drizzle map was optimized eventually so I believe DRMs will be fixed too but it might be some time.

Frame your game service around clear communication. Marketing for this game has a lot to be desired. They could have released the same amount of content but if they frame everything right concierge-level there would be no frustration. I was pretty offended they had this global timed event without anyone knowing then had the audacity to have a timer on it when nothing was scheduled to come after. They might as well have left it so we could eventually earn them.

I think perma-evade thieves are the only ones who can avoid all the damage you choose to dish out. I don't get why these destroyers couldn't getting a face lift. Even a minor one...darker orange and a few spikes like SOMETHING don't just phone it in.

They wanted to keep the masteries relevant, and they used the same color coding we see in [The Ooze Pits](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Ooze_Pit_Trials) meta, where green=Ash, blue=Iron, and red=Blood. They need some EPIC reveals and if by the end of Champions we don't get reveals of certain things I will be highly disappointed i.e. the spirits of the wild were dragon champs or Koda was a dragon champ or Jormag is actually Koda...like SOMETHING god anything at this point. Are we straight up not getting any more spirits of the wild masteries? Wasn't that the point of icebrood saga...to get to know the spirits?
