  2. Try the Trailblazer variant, if you have problems staying alive. Basically if you go for DPS builds, you will need to rely on profession/battle mechanics to stay alive like, try to predict your foes moves, you sense some incoming attack you dodge or use your healing skill for aegis to block it, you see some AoE you move out of it, if there's a lot of projectiles aimed at you, get in tome 3 use skill 3 for projectile denial dome, something like that. Just try your best to avoid all the damages that can be avoided. edit: oh sorry I missed that you said you're already using Trailblazers. Well it's still true that you have to make use of everything available.

  4. Not sure if anyone raised this. I'd really appreciate if you can split some setting options, like "show all ally/enemy names", split it into wvw and open world. Having this option ticked helps a ton in wvw, but would spoil all these sceneries in open world, and I'm a bit lazy to change the settings every time I get in and out of wvw. Or create an option to always show a team colour tag above all allies/visible enemies; even if it's useful, sometimes having all the names shown is just messy. Thank you.
  5. My thoughts. Making the tablet stick/follow would be a bad idea. Imagine having high uptime, highly mobile projectile denial domes moving around in wvw, that would be terrible imo. I think changing the other 2 Ventari utility skills into upkeep skill would be great.(pulse healing/cleanse N conditions per interval when activated, something like that) Also, make them spawn some healing orbs per interval if any of the upkeep skills are active and raise either the base heal or modifier, that should do. edit: these suggestions are slightly wvw oriented, not sure if it would work in other game modes.
  6. Full Viper's? Go for Shiro I'd say. You have the power and crit chance to benefit from Impossible Odds. If you pick the trait that makes your Fury's crit chance 40%, your crit chance will be 108% when your endurance bar is full.(with Fury) Your power damage is outstanding all by itself, not to mention the capability to deal tons of condi damage.

  8. Don't think dual shield practical... Look, when you stow the weapons, one on the back, and where would be the other? Front? That would be lame imo Also, for some classes, instead of a new weapon, I think something like "you now have access to a new set of staff skills" would be more probable. That being said, I vote for melee staff.

  10. I can relate! Last year I can pass the bell choir with no problem scoring 600. Now I may even get kicked out of it. Died more often in wvw due to huge delays when casting skills, dodging etc.

OP wants to bring more people into DRM, can't speak for the others but to make me want to grind it, make the unique reward worthy of my time. I often adjust my build and I love to discover some new(weird) combination of stat/rune/sigil, I'd really appreciate some easier access to stat-selectable gears. Of course I'm crafting some legendaries but not so fast, especially the armors. A full set would take a really, REALLY long time. Also, don't forget the ingots. 3 amalgs costs like 2.4G, 30 ectos is like 6G, 300 assorted metal ingots is 11G. That's about bloody 20G each. I can't imagine throwing so much money into some weapons that have fixed, generally not so useful stat only to instant-salvage them later. Maybe you're rich idkadc but, not everyone.
  12. I have no even the slightest interest to craft these Dragon Slayer weapons so I'm not so obsessed in grinding these mats daily. ...how to make me want to craft them? Make them stat-selectable. I mean seriously, given the price each would cost (3 amalgs, 30 ectos, hundreds of ingots), they should be stat-selectable.

  14. Deadeye is so single-target focused they should excel at single-target DPS. It feels so weird that they are not. I think devs could change one of the Deadeye trait to something like, when you're kneeled(so that this won't affect pistols and make them overpowered) you deal 5~10% more damage but lower toughness by 120~300(reasonable trade off sustain for damage), of course this is for PvE, in PvP and WvW maybe the damage modifier should be kept lower. Edit- or make rifle skill 2 to apply buff on thief to deal more damage for ~5 seconds, or debuff on target to receive more damage for ~5 seconds.
  15. The Conjured Starlight Hat is nice, but I think it would be even better if you make the hat follow the player's head, instead of staying on the fixed spot.

Crappy, but very funny build. This build, by doing only auto-attack with the hammer and occasionally pressing the mantra buttons can provide party wide 100% quickness and protection uptime, and 16~22 stacks of might along with some minor heals, all the while maintain 24 stacks of vulnerability on all enemies standing on your symbols. The third strike of the hammer's auto-attack chain places symbols, so this is literally spamming light fields so if some condition cleanse is needed, just blast skill 2 in the light fields. From what I see, the DPS is decent enough for open world play. And I've solo'd some champions in Central Tyria and a few in HoT with this build, the funny part is that some of them died while what I do, outside of mantras, is only auto-attack.
  17. For some classes, I think it would be more likely to gain a new set of weapon skills for a certain weapon, instead of access to a new weapon. Same goes with utility skills like, an improved set of thief's Venom skills. Would love to see hammer/mace on light armor classes like ele. Sword necro is imo super weird, though they could do that and advertise it like "NOW EVERYONE CAN WIELD A SWORD! GRAB YOURS TODAY!" jk. Weaponless is..........well, let's just say that elite mechanics like druid's Celestial Avatar or holosmith's Photon Forge that replace your weapon skills would be much more probable.
  18. My thoughts. You can make them withdrawable like Zenith skins in achievements tab, but limited to the amount stored in the Armory (e.g. store 2 Legendary Runes into the armory, every each character in the account can withdraw up to 2 Legendary Runes). This way, every single character can have a set of armor for themselves, thus can transmute the skins into whatever they like, and every character can have a unique appearance. Didn't read the long thread, not sure if anyone already brought this one out. Also, I'd love the idea to be able to use different skins on each equipment template. How about fashion slots that unaffected by armor skins? I don't mind if you make this Legendary Armors owners only perk.
