I guess we should all be able to login with a new character that is level 80 that is fully equipped with legendary everything, All mounts, all elite specs unlocked, full mastery unlocks, all maps fully complete, all titles available, all crafts maxed out, unlimited materials, unlimited gold, full wardrobe unlocks, with god mode enabled so we cant die just so we can complain about how there is nothing to do in this game. Seriously people go work for your stuff like everyone else.

    > Another Legendary Credit Card thread basically. If you put half the effort in into getting the skyscale as you did in this thread you would have had it by now. You're basically asking to buy an achievement and that is a slippery slope if you ever do get your wish.

you're funny, you think i have that much time and you even compare the 5 minutes of forum time to a 4 full day dedication.

if it was really that easy i would've had it by now, if it was like the griffin (minus the facet) i would've had it by now.

but no, i have to have a full stack of zone exclusive materials X4 with the timing behind it plus all the achievements attached to it, that is to me a huge grind only meant for overly dedicated ppl.

This wouldnt be a perfect solution, but it would at least make up some of the difference for not having completed the POF story.

    >

    > Right. So, Anet implements rental mounts and new players do not purchase PoF because they have a mount that they can use for a few coppers. Where is the incentive for Anet to do this?

    1. you lose the mount the moment you're attacked or attack

    2. it would be the basic mount so nothing upgraded

    3. it would be the mount without custom skin

    4. you will lose currency

    5. you need to walk all the way back to get a mount back

so the question is more, even with the disadvantages, why not?

  3. want: i love to see a major overhaul so the RP part of the game actually starts to exists outside the minds of the players, have taverns actually be an interesting place to hang out, have NPC's interact to you in a mild way (like saying hello or waving), have markets every X day that sells exotic stuff.

don't want: the focus on meta's, i have had enough of everything being locked behind the oh so holy meta, i'd rather see it all go because it becomes a wall for the more casual players.

    > As kharmin said already, this would make no sense from a business viewpoint. Instead of blocking the boost for new players, the focus should be on making the gaming experience after using the boost as positive as possible.

    >

    > For instance, they should switch the exotic Soldier's gear you get for free when you use the boost for something more reasonable (e.g. Marauder's). I used the boost I received from buying PoF on an Elementalist and was pretty irritated when I realized I just got a full set of Soldier's for a class predominantly used for squishy ranged builds. Sure, I want lots of toughness on my ele so all the mobs will head straight for me (/sacrcasm)! For most classes this prefix just doesn't make sense at all.

the point of soldier gear is exactly that, so you will buy other armor from the TP.

if ppl just get the best stats from the start then a lvl 80 boost is a cheap way of going perfect with a credit card. (and in a way, P2W)

i rather buy the skyscale like the griffon, the reward you're talking about isn't payment, it's a carrot on a fishing line.

again, if i have to work for something i better get payed for it, this isn't enjoyment in the least but i already see stuff where a skyscale is pretty much becoming a requirement. (just like the griffon is to get certain mastery points)

if i wanted to work for something i better get paid for it, GW2 is supposed to be a game, not a job.

    >

    > so your reasoning for all the efficient teambuilds for pve in gw1 is because "dps doesn't matter"? why did people then play teambuilds with stuff like spiteful spirit nec in the deep which deleted hundreds of enemies with just 2 skills in seconds? why did people play rojway, cryway, hundred blades nuke and other kitten like this in all the hm speedclears. because damage didn't matter? yikes dude.

    >

    > ofc you don't need a dps meter when you nuke everything with a single skill....gw1 is major different in terms of teambuilding and synergies to the point that you cannot compare both games at all. 181+ skillactivations in a 1 min 30 seconds fight is not something you had in gw1. thats 2 skills per second.

i never said that it doesn't matter, i said that DPS isn't the main focus in GW1.

in GW2 however, low DPS means no team, regardless of your reasoning and skill.

it bothers players but they aren't planning on changing any of that.

    > After thinking about this suggestion for a while I deciced I wouldn't want it to happen. And if the original concept should appear in the game, then please make it absolutely unrelated to sylvari we have now, because it looks more like mutated humans than sylvari.

sylvari are already plant humans, this will only allow ppl to make a sylvari with a smooth skin, something i really want since beta.

  10. years ago i suggested that certain "good" drops should be within X drops, things like pre-cursors could be ones every X chance.

the idea is so anyone who isn't that lucky with drops will at least get a guaranteed drop after X the frst time, after that RNG kicks in.

back then ppl did like it, i dunno how much ppl still like it but it's just to give ppl a small chance of luck instead of a big chance of rotten luck.

it isn't lasy, it is just as lasy as making achievements to replace quest but guess what Anet is doing for the past (almost) decade.

wrong, humans have more choices, not more options.

you might not like the choices but they are still there.

    norn - tattoo

sylvari - underglow, skin pattern, ears

    asura - ears, skin pattern

    humans - ..........

Path of fire was a much more reasonable price overall.

    > Obviously I eventually accepted it, because I did get HoT. In my case it helped that since I buy gems periodically anyway I could get the Ulimate Edition and mentally subtract the cost of the gems (because I'd pay that sooner or later anyway) and the end result was I got the Deluxe Edition for about what I expected it to cost. But it took a while to get to that point because the announcement was confusing.

i bought it around Anet, i was to pissed at the cost that i bought it from a 3rd party site for 32 euro instead of the 50 euro Anet asked.

i think it was an "ill show you" thing, not giving the full price for an already overpriced expansion.
