  1. Same. Went on this morning to buy gems and got kicked back on 2 cards. It was working fine a few days ago. They don't want our money.
  2. Well I completed it without rage quitting this time but it was a bit of a pain forever watching my boundary's. I nearly crossed it several times as they are quite closed in boxes.
  3. They still haven't done the jungle. You can't call that vine place a jungle. As already mentioned here, a map of small islands, but first they would have to do something with combat under water. It's more than a little boring atm.
  4. > @"Inculpatus cedo.9234" said: > Is it really that long, over an hour? > I don't remember it taking much time, but it's been awhile. Yes it's a long instance. That long I said to myself 'when is this going to end' I'm sure I was very near completion when I got kicked. Why kick you back to Lions gate? That's cruel. And not to give you the usual warning that you are leaving the instance boundary is even cruller.
  5. Music, fighting noise, and 100 npc's all talking at the same time. So relaxing.
  6. I have to ask. Has anyone ever got anything useful out of a BL chest?
  7. The old vets know every boss tactic in the game, unfortunately they don't want to share.

No it's my first time as I usually avoid the story missions like the plunge. My only reason for doing is this time was to gain access to POF. Saying that, the POF story mission seemed much better then the early stuff.

  10. Instanced and low numbers are the key words here, then you have smaller bosses so your not looking at the bosses toe throughout the fight. There is no dungeon training in GW2 like there is in FFXIV. Having training starts new players off on the right foot. Open world bosses for the most part are a disaster in GW2. I don't think I have ever had the opportunity to watch the animations of these bosses because all you see is a ball of lights, dust, smoke, s***, and blood, and the lag, oh the lad. I don't suppose there is some setting to reduce or kill all of these flashing lights.
  11. I remember when the game first launched and those new areas were over run with players and the excitement was high. It's a shame to now see them so deserted. It happens with the majority of mmo's. If only they could come up with something to revitalise those starting/low level area's. They are giving out level up scrolls with new players aren't they?
  12. I believe the game still runs on something called DX9. My Granddad tells me story's about DX9 and how most games used to use it back before the war. I don't know if it's true or he is pulling my leg. Anyway, you most likely have to use very old drivers.

Then if you buy another crafting license every single character on your account can then use 4 professions simultaneously. Ahhar! Now, that is as clear as day. Thanks for that.

I know. That was a lot of money lost. Just doesn't make sense, crafting something that's soulbound. It's like the daft way you can't break down some stuff for scrap. I am fed up of going through tons of stuff and destroying it.
  15. Ah, I have the limit on 2 of my toons so maybe I was playing with one of those when I tried. I will shift to a toon with no licences and try again. Thanks. Oh wait, It a account limit. So I have a allowance of 4 and have used 2 each on 2 characters. Right, gotit.
  16. No your right. I will voluntary sub by buying some gems on the first of every month. It's just so simple I didn't think of it. :)

And yet people are also constantly asking for more and more features to be added to it, even sometimes asking for existing things to be removed from the base game and made subscriber exclusives so they can feel like theyr'e getting their moneys worth...but no matter how much gets added it never seems to be enough. > > I much prefer the system we have now, where if you want a 'voluntary subscription' you can simply buy whatever amount of gems you think is reasonable each month and then spend them on whatever you think you should get for your subscription. Even better that way you get to keep all your 'subscription benefits' even if you don't pay one month. For me the ESO+ is more than worth it. I get a great return on my money. And as people say, you can't expect the dev's to work and expand for free. They too have family's to feed .
  18. > @"Inculpatus cedo.9234" said: > There's already a voluntary subscription. No one is stopping you from purchasing $15/month of Gems. > Spend the Gems on Bags, Transmutation Charges, Bank Slots, etc. Ha! I didn't think of that. A simple solution.
  19. Flipping heck you could run GW2 on a calculator. A powerful computer isn't going to make those 70's textures look any better. GW2 actually looked better on my old computer with a 20" monitor than it does on my updated machine with a 3440x1440 widescreen.

When the ground under your feet starts making a squishy noise you know your close.
  22. Unfortunately my favourite place in the game is now a land fill. Full of all the daily's A-net tirelessly dumps on players.
  23. I buy everything off those guys with full hearts then use, scrap or sell.
  24. Dx12 wrapper is in and framerate soared from 45 on the highest settings to my native 100. The graphics are better. My dpi seems to be behaving much better, textures are cleaner and clearer, mouse seems to be more responsive, and that horrible glow on everything has gone, thank goodness. Come on A-net. Brings us into the 21 century.
