pvp would be so much more enjoyable if we didnt have to fight 1-3 mesmers each game. It’s the least fun class to fight with the least amount of counterplay to it due to the retarded amount of evades/blocks/invuln/distort/blinds/stealth while easily capable of applying 20+ confusion stacks + a ton of other conditions within a single second. Anyone defending this statement plays mesmer. Dear Anet, please don’t let a bunch of 14 year olds who only care about winning ruin the fun for the non mesmer players who actually are trying to enjoy the combat. Also, 10k+ downstate hits SHOULD NOT be possible on any class. Its called downstate, not super-saiyan mode.

Ok look at these two examples and tell me what you think is stronger:
A.
Damage: 330 (1.0) <- power coefficient
Stealth (3s): Invisible to foes.
Blindness (5s): Next outgoing attack misses.
Burning 3x (3s): 1179 Damage
Conditions Removed: 1
Number of Targets: 5
Radius: 240
Combo Finisher: Blast
Or option B.
Damage (projectile): 220 (0.666)
Burning 1x (10s): 1310 Damage
Range: 1,200
Option B used to be 2 stacks for 5 seconds, but that was changed because condition is supposed to be damage over time, not burst. Come on, this isnt even a competition.

Yeah especially since they have been nerfing torch on ranger significantly to the point where (it already couldn't) it's completely unplayable in pvp. For some reason mesmer torch gets way more burnstacks, better cooldowns & big utility (daze + stealth)

Title is pretty self explanatory. Think everyone except the mesmer mains can agree. It’s overplayed, WAY too forgiving making it an extremely easy class to do well on and still applies conditions like its a power burst.

As long as mesmers remain 10/10, fanboys on the OP classtrain are gonna keep defending each and every nerf in order to keep their precious ‘skillfull’ pink unicorn. I’d love to see mesmer become trashtier for a couple of seasons for a change. They already excell at every game mode anyway and I’m pretty sure it’s people least favorite class to fight due to the lack of counterplay and its’ bullshit non-fun mechanics.

pvp hard to satisfy? Come on. In 6 years of GW they've had to spend the first 4 years without any actual leaderboard, without game stats (dmg, healing, etc) and without a legit ranked mode on 5 maps of which Anet even removed one (capricorn). I have nothing but respect for any pvp'er that's mainly been playing that game mode since launch because over all these years they've played through horrible meta's and buggy shit. Balance is wank atm, but it's better than ever so that should say a lot. Also pvp gets 1 map every 3 YEARS on average. PvPers really dont ask for much or are greedy and spoiled by nature. It's just that Anet has given them the ABSOLUTE minimum in terms of what they could have done. The current state of pvp is entirely on Anet.
Ps. also, 6 years in, still no shareable ingame build templates (something that made the GW1 pvp community thrive. & more build diversity obviously)

Its not impossible but with 1 (usually unimpactfull) patch every 3-4 months it is. Especially when that quarterly patch is 90% underwater stuff & skill unsplits for pve..

Tested, afaik nothing noticeable changed and it’s still a crappy pet (family). Smokescale + snowy owl all the way for me.

Arena is perfect as is. Please move on before Anet spends the next year balancing the lobby arena. Also: build templates & dueling PLEASE!

Thing is scourge actually has a lot of weaknesses & counterplay to it while mesmers on the other hand just evade/stealth forever. The issue isnt necessarily losing to these classes as much as it is just very boring annoying & unfun to fight. There's little counterplay to it when played correctly.

Meanwhile still not able to use new spec weapon (dagger MH, soulbeast) in pvp. TL;DR if you can't accept incredibly poor & slow balancing, don't play is the best advice :)

Mesmer torch still needs balancing, look what they did to ranger torch over the last few patches, why is torch on mesmer still like this?
