Best we may get is a 7th/ultimate with this ‘mother’ kralkatorrik mentioned I'm still of the mindset that Tyria itself is "mother", and the final Elder Dragon. Jormag mentioned that The Balance doesn't exist, yet the EDs don't fight each other over food. Every ED seems to absolutely avoid each other like the plague, yet can use each other's magic when one dies. They either seem content with their territories, or they're more scared of something else dealing with them if they fight amongst themselves. Assuming that my theory is correct, it makes sense that they could use each other's magic, they're all essentially siblings from the same mother, and also explains why they don't seem to want to leave Tyria, even after being able to enter the Mists. Children tend not to stray too far from their parent after all.
  2. As Runiir said, Spirits are heavily used in PvE Raids. It's pretty much mandatory for any healing Druid to have them for use in those raids.

He taught. He made peace. We already _have_ a pacifist teacher among the legends. Perhaps we should be looking elsewhere for the Legend. Assuming they don't go for one from Factions, then let's look at other heroes. Perhaps Prince Rurik, Trahearne (just to troll the playerbase), or maybe even Snaff could work?
  4. I'm betting the new system will be updated underwater combat. They wouldn't add underwater capabilities to the Skimmer unless something was in the works.
  5. I'd say the density in PoF is way better than it was in HoT due to how spread out things are. HoT is still a nightmare to me to traverse and do things in, especially the Hero Challenges (it feels like pre-nerf Orr).
  6. All I could want from the new spec is the ability to throw our traps again. I miss being able to do that so much.

The only weapon I would accept is Cestus/Fist weapons. That's right, I want us to be able to punch out an Elder Dragon. It'd fit a lot of professions pretty easily, and the animations could look pretty cool overall. Examples could include an Ele uppercutting an enemy with a giant stone fist, Rangers clawing at an enemy like a wild animal, or Guardians doing "aura pulses" from their palm to pierce an enemy with an unblockable attack.
  8. I've always loved ranged classes, so I chose Ranger to start out with. Stuck through it with the horrors of at launch Orr (where the pet grabbed aggro by existing) that had double the amount of mobs it has now, all of LS1, and up until HoT. Once I got in Heart of Thorns though...I was basically destroyed by enemies I wanted nothing to do with and ended up dropping it for a good long time for Thief/Daredevil, whose stealth and evasion helped me survive at launch HoT and LS3 and PoF. I recently got into raiding, and picked up my Ranger again who is now serving as a Druid and healer for my raid group, so I'm happy I'm playing him again. I still play my Daredevil for the story and open world stuff though.

I'm personally hoping for cestus or fist weapons, but that's only because I want to punch out an Elder Dragon, as well as get more of that awesome hand to hand combat I got a taste of with the Daredevil spec on Thief.
  10. I'm going to throw a curve ball in here...Tengu Ranger (Druid for HoT and who becomes a Revenant around the end of LS3) who has personal ties to Trahearne (possibly friends who met somewhere). Why? This prevents the stepping on toes for PS choices, and also gives a good reason for why they'd accept him as the Commander. He's not a part of any Order before this point, but because of Trahearne's personal recommendation along with them witnessing him taking down a Dragon Champion, they're perfectly fine with it. By being a Ranger, it gives him a "link" to the magical forces of nature and could give a bit of a "sixth sense" to when dragon minions attack outside of Orr, allowing him to sense them (inside Orr of course would be difficult, due to the amount of corruption there). Druid would strengthen his connection to the forces of nature, something he'd need desperately in Maguuma due to everything trying to kill him in there. Learning the basics of Revenant shortly after the end of HoT from Rytlock, it builds off his connection to nature, giving him a connection to the Mists themselves and expanding his repertoire of magical energy uses, something we see the Commander do quite a bit in LS3. His learning of some of the new magic skills from LS3 would coincide with his gaining experience as a Revenant and his already extensive knowledge as a Druid. Revenant would be fully mastered by the time PoF is entered, making specific events feel like they flow better. I won't go into much more after that due to how spoilerific everything from PoF on is, and you basically get the gist at this point.

Is that what the hero point icon used to look like?! :open_mouth: Correct, that is exactly what they used to look like, but they were known as Skill points back then. We used to have to use Skill Points to buy all our class skills instead of hero points to get it all off a trait ring. Trait books used to be bought from class trainers to teach us the various tiers of traits.
  12. Old LA...man I miss it. Can we please have it back somehow? I miss that place so much, the new one isn't as good as the old one, at least aesthetically.

Though that theory could hold water as to why "the balance" doesn't exist. It may just be that too much energy going off would wake "mother" and just lead to destruction from her moving around, leading to the EDs mere existence being to regulate the magical energy so she doesn't wake up. Which would also explain why the Human Gods left, it would be something that would make their mere presence there a serious threat to everything that exists on Tyria. > > We are getting Aurene's Champion powers in the Mastery abilities being from Crystal Champion Mastery and the newly added Dragon Slayer Mastery > > Though a different form of Champion abilites since these powers do not alter our appearance. I knew I was forgetting something. "Mother" still makes my mind race to possibilities to what it could be, and I have a tendency to jump to plausible yet easily shut down theories because I always forget a detail or two.
