Wow great catch on this. In the early days of HoT I played ranked basically "full time" for a couple seasons and never cracked 2k games in a season. That was being on 8+ hours daily. Side note it totally burnt me out on ranked for good so I would be doubly suspicious of anyone putting in thousands of games a season. The ranked fatigue is real lol.

  2. I sometimes play zerk core war. It has high damage, yes, but that's all. There's no camping outnumbered fights with it like spellbreaker. Plenty of things can 1v1 you, so you have to be very map aware and apply the damage where it will be useful to the team.

    TL;DR - It's fine.

Well condi mes takes no clears atm other than Jaunt, which was just nerfed, so congrats Anet has granted your wish

    > Portal nerf ah not that bad. a bit less mobility noting more you guys are fine you have still the damage that you can apply without trying. I even can win on mesmer in plat+ and i have only played 4 hour with mesmer. That is how brain dead the condi mirage build is. I stopt with playing it becuase i was os borring.

Pretty much every area of condi mirage has been nerfed already. Durations, damage, count charges, Elusive Mind is a joke trait now. Damage has been nerfed to the point where no condi mirage takes sword anymore so they also have mediocre mobility now. They also have virtually no clears. If you're (ppl in general, not YOU specifically) STILL having trouble imo it's a lern2play issue. The reason newbie mesmers can hang in plat is because there's a lot of non-plat players in those games who are still easily bamboozled by mesmer mechanics. Actual plat players have been fighting it long enough, they know how to deal with the condi mirage one trick pwny. I stopped playing it because my power build is far more effective in most game situations.

  5. Weaknesses of meta mirage spec:

-Very few clears, virtually any condi build will drop them if they make a mistake

-Poor sustain, land a few hits and they have to kite or run

-Low vigor uptime, make them use dodges defensively so they don't get much use out of Infinite Horizon

-Poor clone generation and blinding dissipation/ineptitude means they have to be right on top of you for shatters to matter.

-Not very mobile with axe/staff, easy to kite or out-rotate esp now that many are dropping portal after it was nerfed.

-No precision, condi is their only damage and durations have been repeatedly nerfed. Hoelbrak runes can help a lot, esp with Might makes Right spec.

Core war can take advantage of most of those. Biggest thing I find that helps when fighting mes on war of any build is to be AGGRESSIVE. Get in their face and hit them hard, don't let them control the fight. Bait them into bad positions, drag them to your team or a down and cleave them. When they vanish don't run around waiting, hit where you think they might be. IDK how many times I've whirlwinded thin air and been rewarded with a down mes appearing a sec later ;)

  6. If you guys want an actually viable version of this build, drop mimic and take signet of midnight, signet of ether and signet of illusions (+ blink and Jaunt). Dueling, Inspiration, Mirage. 12 sec chain-able distortion with additional 6 mirage mirrors from Blurred Inscriptions and Desert Distortion. No need to get hit, all on demand. Plus you get a ton of clears and sustain.

OOh very interesting... I didn't know it took matches played into account.

Yeah it's very stronk. Only downside is the smaller shades but that just adds to the fun imo since you deal more damage but need to be more careful with shade placement.

  9. Terrorflame Scourge: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRAQNArfWnE9Cd9i92AO9Cs9ilgBLaAEAKXUXhpwvSvu2XHsA-jpxHQB+7IA8tTAgCfAAA4QAwvyATY/BA

100% fear duration, Fear deals damage, causes torment and torment causes burning.

    Speedy Reaper: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vRAQNBhOD7kjGo1Gs2Gw4GgeTscMYR9stVAg6H8EiVx5wf4RE-jpxHQBA4gA8tLAQBPCAKpMQL2fwfPAAA

Perma 66% swiftness, curses line instead of spite gives boon corruption but more importantly plague sending means you don't need plague signet, so you free up a slot for spectral grasp. Pull enemies from 1200 into reaper shroud with full life force, chase down running enemies or flee yourself if things get dicey. Probly my fav build rn.

Timing. Try Fiery GS + Fresh Air. Open with Firestorm (FGS 5) from any attune other than air, cast Fiery Rush (FGS 4) and attune air as it lands for the lightning bolt/ferocity boost, Fiery Whirl (FGS 3) through them while you attune air again (if weaver). "One shots" most builds. Also if taking water try Piercing Shards and Aquamancer's Training, since just like you can attune air during a conjure the 20% damage boost in water works with conjures too. The 10% above 90% is just gravy.

Lightning Hammer is fun with Lightning Rod and Tempest Defense, I haven't really played around building for the other conjured weaps yet. Also, don't bother taking the conjured weap trait in fire, it's broken. It grants the fire aura but no reduced CD so pretty useless.

Yea of all the things to complain about with Holo, and it's Elixir S which hasn't been changed in... ever lol

    > Im honestly so surprised by the amount of people defending the necro who just SAT there and ATE all the conditions. Not one dodge, not one look at his skill bar to see what condis he had on him. He literally would have taken less than half the damage with ONE dodge roll, and ONE stun break WHILE casting his heal. Instead he dodged zero times, spammed all his stun breaks and THEN casted his heal. Instead he cast *three* separate skills by mashing them in quick succession, instead of realizing what he was going against and what they could.

    >

    > This is literally the equivalent of a mesmer eating an entire spin to win reaper shroud combo with quickness (which takes a little more than 2 seconds but still.) Then coming to the forum and complaining that reapers are OP.

^^ My man nails it. I watched the vid and was like "okay so unaware reaper got hit, and?"

I play condi mirage, I also play power reaper, both specs are very strong and good at what they do. Are they OP? Not any more than anything else right now. And they both have more counters than other things *coughHOLOcough* There was a lot of power creep this xpac imo.
