My charr warrior has named his greatsword "Severance". Haven't named any other weapons though.

I've been pretty much using the skyscale exclusively with the except of water travel, and the occasional beetle run if I need to zoom across the map. I haven't even touched my poor griffon since I got the skyscale early on.

One of the reasons I'm mainly quiet here lately.

I LOVE my Skyscale chair, and when I use it, a friend or two often come and sit with me inside the tail curl. I love that!

Uhhh...as for myself I've been playing when I'm not working. I rarely post in these forums anymore.

I can't say I've really noticed any drastic changes on the Trading Post as I salvage and hoard all my materials for future use. Sometimes I think I'm the only one that does that.
-
I went with the 6-colored armor route as there's really nothing else that can be done, and I'm ok with that.

No, I was always here, even with a full time job (which has now been moved to home).

Yet another Tengu thread.....

I didn't even play PvP in Guild Wars 1 when the game was new and active. What makes you think I would now that I barely play it anymore?
-
When I roleplay, my characters are completely disconnected with the personal story. I like to think that they're reading a book or various news reports about The Commander. You know how sometimes when you read a story, you sort of inject yourself into _being there_? Like that.
-
You should see my Guild Wars 1 friends list. It's a graveyard.
-
I'm even seeing these AFK farmers in Silverwastes of all places.
-
Can we just please roll all these Tengu posts up into one thread? Please?
-
What's the point of this thread?

Interesting, I really liked both of those and did them without mesmer help.

And just spraying everyone they come across no matter who they are. :)

Like others, I always play my first story play-though alone so I can concentrate on the dialog and story elements. I tend to get really immersed and RPwalk along with the story NPCs. I take my time and never rush through, absorbing as much as I can.
Later, when it's time to get achievements and such will I sometimes join with friends if I can't get them on my own.

This is why I keep saying that Kaineng City probably looks like a mix of Coruscant and Los Angeles 2019 now.

I remember my guild hall in GW1 was very Imperial Palace looking with lots of reds and golds. I don't remember the name of it, but that one was my favorite. I imagine something like that might appear in the expansion.
EDIt: Fixed a phone typo.

I've always liked this discussion in Soren Draa.
Genius (1): Did you get that "you know what" we need back at the "you know where?"
Genius (2): I can't talk about it here. I'm expecting “you know who" to come by any minute.
Genius (1): Okay. I'll be back at "you know where" doing "you know what” until "you know when."

Completely agree. Every Role Player I know wishes the /emote range was greatly reduced.

I don't expect it to be as engaging as HoT was for its open world but I do expect it to be better for open world than PoF. I also suspect the story will be top notch. I honestly can't see the story quality going down at all The new elite specs will be a lot of fun for sure. I suspect a few things to show up. Like the Assassin but probably not ritualist. How the ritualist will show up, I suspect it'll be a type of NPC and not playable. The divide in the player base is a bit too strong for it to be given to either Revenant or Necromancer, too much controversy, best to be avoided. I still look forward to the expansion for sure. it'll be fun. I don't expect it to blow me out of the water.

I'd like to add "New Guild halls" to that list.

That's entirely true and a valid point. But I was meaning more of one of the other continents, someplace we haven't been to before, not even in Guild Wars 1 like all those places you mentioned.
Please don't misunderstand me. I'm glad (99.8%) that we're getting new maps and such. It's the small (0.02%) of me that's still wondering "What's on the other side of Tyria?" Hopefully we'll find out someday before my health gives out.
Idea for an option for the Guildwars.com and Forums interface - Dark mode.
