  1. I was really moved by the story. But I'm also terribly sad, having hoped there might be a secret Caithe had to tell as the final chaper approaches - something about her service to Aurene, some sort of hope after the needless sacrifice. Yet just as with Rytlock and Zafirah , Caithe is lost too.

  2. > "We announced Season 5 [and] we fully intend on making Season 5," Murdock said. "We already have our plans pretty well in place for that.

I found this fascinating. Wouldn't Season 5 already be fleshed out by now with some eps deep in production?

I still harbour a sneaky hope that immediate followup Season 5 is a ruse - and they'll drop a surprise expansion on us in a couple of weeks.

  3. Had to miss the first week of Warclaw, so the grind was a little slower for me - though even as an irregular wvw'er I'm glad I've now got the mount.

One issue over time however will be that as the proportion of people in wvw with mounts rises, it becomes harder and harder to keep up with zergs for those on foot. So the sooner folk do this the better.

  4. ArenaNet says it's relaxed about players selling raid spots ingame. But the market itself is a grey one, with little clarity for those interested in paying for a slot. So in the spirit of more transparency, some thoughts and answers for the following would be really great:

    1. What's the current going rate for a pay-for slot per raid wing? Does it vary server to server, or wing to wing? Even boss to boss?

    2. How do buyers know they're getting a good (or bad) deal? What should they watch out for - positives and negatives.

    3. How much involvement should a pay-for raider expect on a run? Will they be expected to stay put and let others do the work? Or are they expected to get involved?

    4. Are most raid achievements possible for pay-for raiders? Or are some or most achievements in fact off limits?

    5. For those selling raid slots, what are the most frequent issues and complaints which crop up when it comes to managing your clients' expectations? (both them to you and you to them)

    6. What happens if a pay-for raider gets ripped off, or receieves a poor service? What happens if the provider gets ripped off? (can that even happen?)

    7. Should there be a way of rating a pay-for provider ingame, (eg like Trip Adviser, YouTube), and that rating being visible to others ?

My hope here is to demystify the pay-for raidslot process a bit - so please be frank and positive!

  5. Very much enjoyed this episode for most of the reasons mapped out here and elsewhere: rich, immersive, and fun to return to, once you get over *that* event.

In particular, I like that there's so many achievement points to be had in the zone - with ~~176~~ 204? AP just from the Dragonsblood weapons. It's keeping me far more engaged than earlier maps - and will do for several weeks more I guess.

    > If it's the latter, visit Ely again to purchase the next set of items. If it's the former, the double-check all your characters for the mist-entangled item. (I'm not 100% sure you need to have the item on you, because I'm 90% sure I had one toon buy stuff from vendors while another waited outside the priory, since I was lazy about traveling back & forth.)

    > A lazy way to search is to use [GW2 Efficiency](http://gw2efficiency.com/), which can search all your toons and your bank for any item, by name or by type. (Instructions to set things up are available there and should take 5-10 minutes, at most. If you get stuck, reply again here and someone will walk you through it.)

    Thanks but, er, nope....

I had just finished the gloves this morning (using the same character throughout.)

The very next step is the Steelburn purchase. None of my other characters have either bought (or indeed been able to buy) the mist-entangled item. I could see it on the vendor greyed out just a few days back. Now it is entirely missing from his inventory. It is bugged.

  7. When this happened previously (Red Steamed Dumplings - uncraftable; the few on TC quickly swallowed up; an extremely limited new supply and only during a short holiday) there was not one engagement by Anet, despite a similar number of comments to here.

So I'm also of the view that this is intended - and that it will happen again. I just don't understand why.

  8. For those blithely claiming 'the market will sort this out' - it won't. Demand once again far exceeds supply.

Take a look at Red Steamed Dumplings, of which 500 were needed to get 25AP from Droobert back in February. Even today there are only enough on the TP for 80 players to complete this, at 44 silver minimum price. Total present cost? Around 300 gold. For the lucky ones.

Devs are making some meh choices it seems with these items: supply needs to improve, relatively, or the bulk of the player base is left frustrated.

For both the sigil and the dumplings, enabling player recipes (even with a relatively high mat cost) appears the obvious solution. That would also share the bounty more widely across the player base than those lucky enough to have hoarded these items at low prices.
