  1. A Perma Stealth Deadeye trades their utility skills for other, more combat oriented ones. Shadow Step: You can see the circle where the thief can step back to. Shadow's Refuge: If you see a circle with a house icon above it, the thief is hiding in there to get stealth. Nice detail to know: he can NOT leave the circle untill all pulses are complete or he looses all stealth. AoE that area if you can to the max. Sentries and watchtowers prohibit long periods of stealth. Same with traps Ranger's Barrage will complete when started, even if thief stealthes. Arrow direction gives you hint where they are. Likely many more other counters that I am not aware of. Nothing wrong with thief, if you know how to counter.
  2. What would bring me to play them: - Correct scaling. More enemies rather than a normal NPC feeling like a champion in a 5 group (I currently only play solo) - Actual XP earning again: I am on max Masteries and since Anet locked the rest, I earn ZERO xp doing them. (or any other Icebrood related content for that matter) - Less copy/paste. the 3 missions are too similar to me. Those are my 3 main points to not do any DRMs
  3. And again Anet also made a mistake they did before: Once you are done with current masteries and rest being locked away, you earn ZERO xp - NO spirit shards nothing. Do you EVER learn? You gave us NO reason to play any of the Icebrood maps now. You cannot unlock the next one, so you're stuck wasting XP. Nice one, Anet... Stop repeating your past mistakes And please can we have challenge mode when playing solo? These dragon missions are bearable solo, but no fun at all in party due to the weird and incorrect scaling.
  4. There's a few issues that I noticed lately that might be a problem you run in to that I think are bugs AoE fields no longer are accurate. Not even by a LONG shot. This somehow started (I guess) about half a year ago? You can even dodge out of one, and be WAY out of it and still get hit by the conditions. This is not by design this is a bug that Anet is ignoring. My most clear example that I have was a Mordant throwing something to me, it is mid air, AoE of where it will land appears... I shadowstep out of it... double the distance of the AoE diagonal... and STILL get the Condi's on me as if I was hit. (120 ping) 2. The other issue I see a lot, is that in some locations, for some reason, mobs started to insta-respawn. Chest guarded by Veteran Harpy... yeah no problem but I kill the harpy and get shot in the back by... the Veteran Harpy... kill it quickly and... veteran harpy shows up... Litterly within a second of one dying. I seen this happen more and more often in any maps. Even the core maps. (again this is a location I visited often in the past, to kill the vet harpy and it's 4 non-vet companions to loot the chest... this insta respawn never happened. I don't find the mobs too difficult or too easy. I am just starting to become more and more annoyed by Anet ignoring these bugs. (I do use the ingame bug report often when this happens. Not always cause I want some play time as well lol)
  5. I indeed got it after update. Finally finished frenzy. To be honest, the fact this ahs been an issue and still is an issue for so long, years, really doesn't give me convidence in doing more older achievements.

  9. I had that idea already, just added it because when I say in mapchat that I have bad luck, they always ask. However my post still holds true: The rng on those materials is stupidly low.
  10. I tend to agree with Blude. These are poorly designed, boring to play and scale completely wrong. As far as I am concerned, when I get what I need from them: Never again. What is wrong with them? 3 missions... 3 times copy/paste Scaling: Designed as 5 man content, but when you enter a public one alone: it works fine, 4 more come in, scaling is OFF THE CHARTS End bosses in these are nothing but annoying What I mean by scaling, I go in... am alone in public. I attack a dragon minion, first shot takes away 80% health... That is NORMAL for a glass canon deadeye. Suddenly I notice I do POOR damage... why? 4 more people showed up. Why did it upscale in this manner? When I enter in public, I should enter in ready-to-go 5 people mode, EVEN if being alone. But nooo you completely destroy the damage when more people show up. With other words, I have NO CLUE what to expect from my build on whatever class I hop in. NO OTHER CONTENT in the game responds in that way so why it suddenly does... I have no clue. I play the last 3 times I need for achievement private. After that... please release the rest ASAP so I can abandon this poor content PERMANENTLY. You got EXTREMELY lazy with this one, Arena Net, I am HEAVILY dissapointed
  11. Indeed currently there are different options. But it does not take away from the fact that ArenaNet made a massive mistake with these nodes. In some cases I have experienced not getting a single of the currency drop from 5 nodes in a row. This type of RNG is simply poor game design I'd rather see less nodes with garuanteed drops than the constant missfarm with purely Empyreal Fragmants which, at this stage, I consider JUNK items. yes you can farm them with Eternal Ice Shards. However, that cost also Karma on top of the Ice Shards. If I chop a tree I get wood If I mine Mithril node I get mithril if I mine difluorite I should get Difluorite, NOT get it ones every 4 or 5 nodes (fyi: yes max magic find, yes on boosts... still the droprate on those never changed)

(Fear also is fun, see m walk off the ledge) Ranger longbow 4 skill, all about positioning! Thief shadow gust (sneaky, stealth, stand on ledge next to enemy(ies) and boom! byebye! Scorpion wire is fun too I bet other classes have other skills for that. Let us know!
  13. 3 years later than original post and nothing done about it. Same story... actually 3 events in the Frenzy III collection not starting. I am starting to become frustrated with these bugs that apparantly are completely and utterly left unattended
  14. The story itself was ok, but there's a few things that I didn't like. First off, the incorporation of instanced multiplayer content in storyline is a trend that I extremely dislike. I want to play the story when I want, where I want, how I want and with whom I want. The fact the 3 missions are implemented in the story was a HUGE dissapointment for me. With no friends on to form a proper party, I either had to wait, or play with strangers in public mode I am a FIRM believer that story should be SOLO content with the OPTION to do in party. The second thing are the bosses. They are merely DPS sponges. It didn't feel like I was fighting a boss, it felt like I was trying to tear down a wall with a toothpick. Very easy shortcut design. Thirdly too many loose ends. - Hardly any explanation what the home node is for - New currency in Crystal Bloom Support Marks that do NOT go to wallet. - Green markers on the maps in Metrica, Brisban and Gendarran but NO explanation that it can ONLY be done through Eye of the North. Why are they even there then?? - Gendarran opening felt extremely bugged. I only got 10% of the damage I normally do. Only when the boss (again a grind MACHINE) came into play the numbers normalized. From what I saw, the others in my party had similar issues. If the rest of the story is similar, that it's sorta instanced group content you MUST do to progress... with NO SERIOUS option to play solo as you EXPECT in story... Then I hope this grindfest ends QUICKLY. Give me PROPER STORY!!!!!! NOT public group content!!! It's a shame, because it could've been so much better. I hated when that one strike mission for story demanded playing with a squad, I hate this one demands playing with a party. (We all know the 1 to 5 means forget about 1... not happening)
  15. Ok, before I give my oppinion about this subject, I do want to know first how you see this implemented with regards to people that disconnect or crash. So basically the set of rules that makes sure that someone that crashes doesn't get punished over the ones deliberately leaving the group hanging. ... and there lies your problem with this suggestion to be honest. There is NO real way to recognize the difference unless you have a input sensor telling you someone actually clicked to leave the group. A method I very much doubt Anet wants to implement. Secondly. What is a Fractal Leaver. I often join pug groups, but when clearing takes longer than expected, I have to leave the group. I NEVER leave during a run, but after will leave after telling why. Punishable? I very much doubt it. This post is a bit: You leave, you get punished without a clear definition on what is unacceptable.
