The fairness of gameplay for guardians, eles, berserkers etc will be the overriding reason. But, the explanation in lore can pretty go in a few directions. For me, I've put it down to the explanation that Primordus' adapting the magic he absorbed from other Dragons has has the side effect of remaining susceptible to our burning (as per LS3) even though he isn't directly utilising their magic anymore. Combine that with the idea of Aurene's influence/your idea above alteriung our burning spells and it seems to hold together enough for gameplay purposes

You start off I think in Divinitys Reach, and there's meteors flying everywhere and awakened whilst the boss attacks. Then you move to Megadestroyer, dodging both her and more meteors from the Megadestroyers and some shades. Then you off to Frostgorge with the Claw of Jormag and Lonai and all sorts of ice attacks, boss attacks and environment stuff going on. Eventually you beat her and end up alone in space on a rock with Braham.

It's a cool fight and I love the background stuff, it's just messy. Very, very, very messy

I've looked up the boss now since I keep typing the wrong one. It's Lonai - the end boss from Ep2. Which mechanically is an OK fight through different backgrounds, but is too heavy on the visual noise

    I do apologise, wrong boss. I mean ~~Amala~~ Lonai - she's Ep 2 right?

The Golem fight is not one I have an issue with

The NPC usually goes 2 weeks after the event started and 1 week after the actual event finishes. That means next Tuesday in theory

  6. I think some of them are excellent.

    - Shadow of the Dragon

    - Hounds of Balthazar

    - Caduceus

    - Kralkatorrik

    - Joko

Those are amongst my favourite instanced boss fights and flashing effects don’t really interfere and the mechanics are interesting and fun to me

    In terms of open world

    - Marionette/Vinewrath

    - Gerent

    - Tequatl

Because the mechanics are all undisturbed by flashing effects by spreading players about

Some bosses are just ruined by the excess of effects.

    - The final boss of S4 E2 is a ridiculous amount of fireworks. _*edited due to wrong ep mentioned_

    - Death Branded Shatterer is shrouded in too many effects. Which is a shame because Shatterer is well animated like most bosses

    - I don’t think I’ve even seen the in game model of the hydra queen pirate boss because Taidra is so covered in players and effects

    I can’t comment on raids

There was I'm sure a reference many, many years ago that black lion skins are exactly that in lore - skins or holograms you place over the top of the mount. If that remains true or I haven't misrememebered the context, then some of these random ones can be explained away as Evon just making them up as original designs.

  8. It’s a reported issue likely to do with champions being one episode split into multi release chunks and so leaving during a chapter - even when the next bit isn’t released - triggers a partial reset. It’s been happening since Chapter one

I’d have thought they’d have acknowledged and fixed this by now.

Not sure if a bug, but perhaps an oversight

All communication is welcomed. You're normally pretty good with updates on twitter so I was surprised to see nothing this time around and was partly why I only remembered an hour or so before reset.

The markings around the eyes have an odd red outline that cant be dyed which I'm not sure is intended. but overall It's a solid skin just wish those issues were seen before it got released.

    This looks pretty cool.

  11. This is the public info - a trailer, a release year and some concept pics

_In March, we let you know that development is underway on a third Guild Wars 2 expansion. To celebrate the game’s eighth anniversary, we’ve prepared a special surprise: a first look at what lies ahead in 2021, when we’ll release Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons._

  12. Ls4 ep4 is one of my top 2 episodes of the Season (not that what comes after is any competiton apart from a single instance which I wont spoil in Ep5 and the Ep6 map). It had a small map, but really crammed with storytelling, atmosphere and things to do. Even though Suns Refuge was a huge missed opportunity, it was still fun to do all the related tasks and collections.

The only real downside to Ep4 is how badly it has dated. There was so much group based content, it is hard to really keep it going as an active map at this point. Which is a shame, because it was really fun to play. during those initial months

Ep3 has been well documented in opinions. The map as far as I am concerned is one of the biggest let downs and the story was killed off at the end right as it was getting exteremely interesting and engaging with one of the most painfully bad scenes in all of the franchise. Even the devs indicated some regret for what happened. The Scarab Plague was the basis for a decent, world threatening arc which didn't involve the dragons and could have kept going whilst keeping Kralk in the background for some time. But, the killing off dragons and the Aurene push derailed what was for me, the more interesting story to tell.

It is however a divisive episode. It does have a fair number of people who like it - esp the ending. The map simply needed more time. It was hurt by the demands of what was a pretty hectic and punishing release schedule in terms of development
