  1. In metabattle, it was Meditrapper DH, but I tweaked it to my liking. However, even with tweaks, it went out to be unusable these days.

I cannot pinpoint exactly why, but I tried it again recently and it just feel extremely weak and useless.

    Also

All warrior builds prior to the new weird healing ones are unviable for pvp, exceptions may apply, but they don't work to me.

  2. Never since the appearance of the elite specialisation Spellbreaker, did I, for one second, thought of it to be played as a healer in pvp...

Also, pvp in this game is so destroyed compared to let's say, 2 years?

I just stopped since a certain balance patch keeps on literally destroying multiple classes and making them unfairly underpowered against others.

Also, 300 seconds cooldown on passive skills... just rework them. Lol.

At this point, just revert every skill that are divided between gamemode to use the pve version everywhere (no more skill divided between gamemode) and allow every stats combination into pvp. I'm sure it'll be as bad as this is right now.

  3. Hmm... I kinda like Revenant right now, but I don't really pvp, so...

    Sword main hand

It's really good burst and sustain damage.

    Sword off-hand

Really good gap closer and burst damage that has lots of synergy with battle scars. I agree that the block it has before was nice though

    Hammer

It's not my playstyle, really not. Slow and ranged. I really don't like the skill 2 neither and 4 seems underwhelming.

    Staff

My favorite weapon, please don't touch it :(

Really good damage on auto and 5, skill 2 is a good heal if you use centaur stance and some healing power, 3 is a powerful block. 4 is a little bit slow to cast with minimal heal, but it's still good for the condi clean.

    Axe

Very good weapon to use with mace. But with others, not so much tbh.

    Mace

Condi weapon, I think it's in a good spot. Fire field on skill 2 and leap on 3 is fun to use.

    Shield

You really need to use this with sword main hand, dragon stance and healing power / concentration.

Be sure to use f2 after skill 4.

I agree the numbers could be upped a bit more and if skill 5 could be mobile, it would be great.

But in pve, with healing power, salvation and glint trait line, and a good use of the f2 skill, you can have some great results with it.

    Shortbow

It's a bit underpowered. Actually, the weapon I like the least on revenant. Some thing should be done with it...

I really think the weapons were meant to be played with their respective stance and specialisation.

I have absolutely no idea how new weapons could fix the problem here, they should fix the weapons we already have.

  4. After a long time playing Warrior and really trying to like it as a main class, I finally made the decision to delete it.

    Sorry guys!

But to me, Warrior does really not feel like a "Warrior" in this game, and I always played Warrior in a lot of other game. GW1 Warrior was actually a lot more fun and it has the feel of beeing a Warrior.

Not here it seems. Unless they change it, but knowing Anet's history with changes...

  5. Currently playing a trailblazer core warrior with sword & board and longbow. Very tanky and the bleed / burn does its job. You still have to dodge, but I'm playing this really because I really enjoy that playstyle.

  6. Voted for the pistol (s).

I can see an elite spec that makes Guardian look like the Inquisitor from Grim Dawn, which is a bit like a Paladin that uses medium/light armor, pistols and offensive and healing spells.

I can see pistol/focus, pistol/shield or even dual pistols as elite weapons, a hat as the elite armor piece and runes or glyph as utility skills (no idea for virtues yet).

The elite spec can allow guardian to be more agile and blasting foes from range.

Buuut, if we are truly going to Cantha, that wouldn't really fit......

  7. There was a guild I knew that all they asked for a DPS player was minimum 10k DPS.

They were aware of all "meta" builds and some of them followed these.

They also prefered people that knows their class very well instead of those that blindly copy pasted cookies cutter builds.

Of course, I am not speaking of LFG here...

Unfortunately, the best way to do these sort of things where everyone allows only speedrunner builds is to have a group of friends.

  8. I'm gonna really lame here but here's this anyway:

-This game was clearly built with PvE coop in mind and even with its PvP content, PvE is where the majority of players seems to be and so, they chosed to focus that.

-Please. For everyone. Don't put a "suspense" title in your post's title with the real subject hidden in the said post. Don't. Everyone. Stop.

I think I'll just stop clicking on post wathever I have a doubt.

You should be more clear and forward with the title of your post.

  9. Elementalists are equipped by default with the lowest armor rating and the smallest health pool.

But, like almost all classes, in open world, you should build your character like you are always alone. Elementalist (and I personally like weaver for its sword and stances) can be extremely tough to kill if built properly (you can deal reasonable damage too. It's not necessarely supposed to be a race of who dps faster than the other).

Did you play with a raid build from a certain site?

This is in no way a bad thing, but there are some way better things to creating a build ourselves.

Use weapons you're confortable with. Check your traits and do a bit of research and test to know what are the synergies. Synergy is extremely important when playing tough content.

I think I've seen a build here in the forum, Fire Weaver I believe? Check this out.

This post is already 4 pages long and NO admin bother to answer anything because it's clearly NOT gonna happen ok! Some people on this forum needs to take chill pills seriously lol. The negativity is crazzzyyyy

    > >

    > > Also what's up with against changes anyways? I never seen any crowds that's so against any changes or updates it's like you guys don't need new content and you want to just play the same thing over and over and you're satisfied lol! In that case I think offline games are best for you all because you can be certain there won't be any updates or changes to destroy your fantastic game experience. Sorry if I'm too direct but the amount of people attacking OP is just ridiculous! If this is not cyber bully I don't know what is.

    > "Don’t just argue for the sake of arguing, I don’t have time for trolls!" Take that as you will.

    To be completely honest though, here's my serious opinion;

I wouldn't really mind but at the same time I won't really like if anybody, anytime can just randomly fight me. A bit like invasions works in dark souls, someone just decides to kill you. But the counter to it is to put your game in offline. In GW2, I can't do that. If there are "teams" or specific places, I can't be bothered as long as I can chose to stay neutral and enjoy my coop pve experience.

I play sometimes in sPvP, but fighting online against another human beeign is raising my stress level beyond the sky for some reason.

Wheither it gets added, I will be happy for those that wants it, but for me, I would be happy if it's not forced to me in everywhere in open world.

Are you talking about a new region where everyone is free for all? I don't think I would go there, but for everyone that wants it, go for it.

    > May i ask what weapon sets do you use for a Core Guardian celestial build? Staff + Mace/x (sword/x)? I guess Greatsword and Hammer are both out of question?

    >

I'll have to redo it in the editor, but I think it was Sword/Shield and Mace/Focus using the virtue and some utility skills for burning.

The reason I think it worked is because Burn is natural with Guardian. I guess pretty much all weapons works (specifically looking at Torch too).

I'll give more news later on, but just remember, this is absolutely no way near meta builds.

  12. Can't really say a buff, but Concentration and Expertise should be added.

Celestial is the all arounf stat. If you don't use even one of its stats, it would be recommended to switch stats. You need a specific build for it.

I had moderate success with a Core Guardian build using full celestial in both open world PvE and PvP.

I tested it on Weaver and I kinda liked it (you really need to use All the stats).

I'm thinking of testing it on some Engineers and Warrior builds for fun.

Oh, I think Revenant could work?

But the thing to remember with these stats, you will never be fully dedicated to one role and a LOT of people hate those who wants to be in the middle.
