HoT because it's more group-focused, exactly what a massively multiplayer game should be (map-wide meta events, champion hero points). Also, I love anything that has to do with the Sylvari (I really enjoyed the story).
PoF feels like a single-player borefest. Story, Firebrand and mounts are great but the expansion lacks repeatable open world content.
-
I hate collections so I normally don't even touch them. BUT I did the Griffon, Beetle and Warclaw ones because I wanted the mounts. So here's my advice: if you really want something, suck it up and work for it.
-
Turn off idle animations on my character.
New Gem Store armor skins.
Player housing.
-
No monthly fee, please. I live in a poor Eastern European country but I do buy Gems whenever I can (that comes down to $5-ish per month). I want to pay when I can, not when I'm forced to. Give me Gem Store stuff I want to buy and start with armor skins. I have every Gem Store armor skin but only 2 Outfits. I would pay a higher price for armor skins! Give me content with repeatable and fun meta events that are balanced and do not need nerfs in the future. I would happily pay for living world episodes, ESO and every other MMO sells DLCs, Anet is too generous for giving living world episodes away for free. Also, give me player housing. I would spend a fortune on furniture!

I don't like the idea of people running around in a bra (or completely topless).

I always think this is just a bad joke/meme because as an open world player, I use all of my skills. If I only used auto attack, I would get bored of the game in 5 minutes, lol.
-
Neglecting the amazing Wardrobe system (mix-n-match options) because of boring Outfits.
Also, neglecting dungeons.

GW2 is the only MMO that was able to create a unique and profitable open world system thanks to meta events. Open world is fun because it provides a real massively multiplayer experience. I enjoy doing stuff with a 50-people squad in the open world more than being locked away in a claustrophobic instance with a small group. Open world (especially meta events) should be cherished and improved because that's what this game is best at.

Yes, unnecessarily. The first nerf was deserved, it put Istan on par with SW. That was fair. But the Amala champ nerf was too much.
-
As an open world player, after the unnecessarily OVERnerfed Istan map, it definitely doesn't feel like Anet has "full focus" on open world, it's more like they are slowly taking away all the fun from us who enjoy farming meta events. When it comes to fun and Gold, the events in PoF and the new Living World maps are underwhelming, we still rely on SW and HoT maps. (Btw, I don't do Raids and Fractals).

Then see a player / bunch of people doing something and decide to simply step in and instantly become part of it - or step out, without any hard thoughts. And never, ever somebody will start pm-ing you, scolding about wrong profession, not meta enough build / low dps :D
^ 100% agree with this. No elitists - the main reason why I enjoy open world. I want my video game to feel like a game, not a job where I have to live up to people's expectations!

Not sure if these qualify as "sounds" - more like voices:
Taimi's/Belinda's voice (Debi Derryberry).
Iowerth's/Laranthir's voice (Crispin Freeman).
My Sylvari girls'/Queen Jennah's voice (Jennifer Hale).
I also like the sound the water effect makes when I use my Consortium Harvesting Sickle.

> Lol your points 1 & 4 made me snigger.. EotM is just a giant PvD karma train.. waiting around for a zerg to fight bores you.. yet you rarely actually get to fight anything other than a few guards and plenty of doors and walls in EotM.
> Point 5 - Unlocking Warclaw felt like a chore, really, you can do most of it in EotM, the thing you found sooo much fun, the rest is a 20 minute chore.
> Sure it might take a little while to get enough skirmish tickets to buy bits.. but it is still one of the cheapest quickest mounts to get your hands on in game.. not that I really wanted the mount in the game mode, even moreso knowing its just a wingless griffon that feels clunky. :)
I joined the Warclaw party late (only decided to get it for the sake of mount completion) but I had no issues getting it, it was just boring. I did try EotM but there were only 2-3 people besides me so I gave up and went to "real" WvW.
And yes, in EotM we used to "fight guards and walls" but at least that happened **constantly**! In WvW, sometimes we just stand and defend and stand and yaaawn~
OP asked a question and I answered with honesty, it's not a sin to enjoy and miss something that was popular in the past. :) Everyone likes different things!

I'm a PvE player who used to be obsessed with EotM when it was popular (I'm at 1250-ish rank thanks to it) BUT I can't get into WvW because of these reasons:
1. We always had something to cap in EotM but in WvW sometimes we stand around for minutes waiting for the enemy zerg to show up and/or many Commanders only defend stuff and we don't cap anything for a long time (I find this EXTREMELY boring)!
2. Progression and rewards felt great in EotM (before they killed it). Skirmish chests are fine but getting ranks in WvW is still a pain in the Charr tail (because of the 1st reason). I remember leveling 4 characters to 80 in a week by no-lifing EotM (without boosters)! :D It was amazing!
3. Maps are too big (even with Warclaw). EotM map size is perfect.
4. Player fights in EotM felt more fun but I can't tell why, probably because we weren't "real" WvW-ers and most of us were just a bunch of noobs.
5. When I recently unlocked the Warclaw I was sad because it felt like a chore compared to EotM which I used to play all day for fun. I miss it so much, I want 2014 back. :(
_"And what may get you interested in playing it more often?"_
If we got a small and fun map like EotM.
(And yes, I know EotM still exists but no one does it anymore because people can't earn stuff for Legendary armor there. I miss 50/50 EotM squads!)

This and revert Stability changes. I can dream, right?

When people spam Tomes near bank (I also hate the flashing light that comes from it). And Queen Bee infusion, especially when people stack them... I don't know if it was nerfed or not, I've been playing with sound off for months because I prefer listening to metal while gaming.

**Jackal.** <3
Fastest mount on uneven terrain.
Can avoid ANY fall damage.
Easy to control and change direction.
Fast endurance regen, easy dodges.
Looks nice and elegant.
My favorite Jackal skin is Mad Realm because I like the wings and the dye channels.

HoT's map-wide meta events and SW/Dry Top. It's where GW2 shines and we really need more of these. The real massively multiplayer experience! I hate it when MMOs lock their playerbase away in claustrophobic instances at endgame.
-
To me, casual is someone who plays occasionally for a short period of time.
However, some people call me causal because I play open world PvE 95% of the time. But I do that for 6-8 hours every day so I'm confused! :D

I agree, Istan is fun. Also, Pala and GH are timed so I can just go AFK between them and rest my eyes (hey, I'm old). A full RIBA is longer and more tedious, not to mention that I used to farm it for 3 years before Istan so I'm sick of it. Gold-wise, Istan was on par with SW before yesterday's brutal nerf so I don't understand this decision but whatever. It was nice to have options.

Lame. Back to SW, I guess. So glad I kept my bag opener.
-
Sooo when will we get an optional on/off button for idle animations? Because more customization options are good and not everyone likes idles.
-
Cry, say goodbye to my gamer life and sell my gaming PC. I hate single player games and my favorite genre (classic fantasy MMORPG) is dying, GW2 is the only MMO I still enjoy.
-
I'm not familiar with console gaming at all (my last console was a Sega Genesis in the 90s lol) BUT I don't think it would worth it for ANet. If it were a new MMO, then maybe. But a nearly 7-year-old game? Nah, I don't think so...
Should Anet make a GW2 plus system like in ESO

No, ESO locks craft bag and costume dying behind subscription which is disgusting in my opinion. I definitely don't want that in GW2.
