xikira.3264
I have noticed a lot of people complaining about this. four of my guildies along with some in map chat were talking about it when the patch dropped. I am not sure what is going on at the moment.
Just a flesh wound.3589
I checked that dpi thing. It fixed the game but the launcher is still wonky (huge and appears with the bottom half under the edge of my screen so I have to drag it upwards each time to start the game). Boysenberry.1869
The DPI scaling should have defaulted to off instead of forcing it on everyone and making them uncheck it just to be able to play the game.
castlemanic.3198
Even with DPI scaling turned off and interface on small, chat doesn't fit where it used to fit. I don't think I'd want the interface to be any smaller, I just wish the skills bar was shifted a bit to the right (or that I could manually jiggle things around until they fit to my preference). slpr.2647
All i know is I will NOT be playing until something is done. I will not play an ugly game, and what this has done is made my game ugly. not only do things not fit, everything in the UI is fuzzy. I was able to kinda get things to fit by changing to Small, but still isn't right. What was the purpose of this anyway? what was it supposed to accomplish? i must be missing it, because all it did was turn my game into a miserable experience. Malice Wonder.6713
Are you using the 32-bit client? It's only available in the 64-bit one.
slpr.2647
32-bit. i did not like the way the 64-bit ran. that's why i cant uncheck it.
Jon Olson.8439
When the app is DPI unaware, such as the 32-bit app, Windows 8+ attempts to be clever by scaling the window, blurring it. You can tell Windows to stop that behavior in the properties of the app. (i.e. right-clicking the exe, Properties) Some more details can be found [here](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2900023/some-desktop-applications-may-appear-blurred-on-high-dpi-displays). Dreggon.6598
I turned that option off but it turns itself back on every time I restart the game.
slpr.2647
yeah, didnt do a kitten thing. still looks like crap. nothing fits and text is all fuzzy. thx for "fixing" the game. what was broken anyways? :/
Antheia Love.2658
I have the same problem but I have 64 bit. The check worked for the game, but like said above, launcher is still insanely huge.
Torqiseknite.1380
I've unchecked "Override high DPI scaling behavior" in the properties of Gw2-64.exe, but the issue with launcher scaling persists. However, I did notice that I can leave it enabled and select "System" instead of "Application" from the drop-down menu under the checkbox, which solves the problem of the launcher opening partway under the edge of the screen (but does nothing about the scaling). There's also a "System (Enhanced)" option in the drop-down menu, but selecting that seems to make it impossible to move, minimize, or close the launcher window normally. This is on a Windows 10 system. ![](https://i.imgur.com/QHxlPg1.png "") Edit: Unfortunately this seems to break the DPI scaling checkbox in-game, so it's not as useful a workaround as I originally thought. islarose.7356
Seems like an issue with Windows settings, as opposed to the client itself, as Jon said. Which I suppose would explain why it's only negatively impacting a minority of players. I can't even tell a difference post-patch: everything is as I left it. stone cold.8609
I've got the same thing. It was fine before the patch and now is kind of unplayable due to this scaling issue. Can ANet resolve this issue?
Maulclaw.4365
Disabling the new option did it for me. However, the launcher is still abnormally large. I'm not sure if this can be fixed.
Eclipsen.1362
Might this be a NVIDIA driver issue?
stone cold.8609
I was able to disable the option in game and resolve the issue temporarily. It comes back every time I log out and re-enter the game. The launcher is still abnormally large. Something that you changed with the patch really messed this up. wamii.3278
My laptop's resolution is 1920x1080 on a 15" screen. Checking Windows 10's display properties (right-click the desktop and select Display settings) shows it recommends 125% scaling. Setting that to 100% (effectively turning off scaling) fixes the launcher scaling but at the cost making everything too small to read in Windows (at least for these old eyes ;) ). In game, turning off DPI scaling fixes the game itself. It seems this patch has made the launcher honor Window's scaling as well as the game. What we need is an option to disable DPI scaling for the launcher too. Edit: Like some of the previous posters, the game resets the DPI scaling option when it launches. I have to uncheck it each time. Frustrating to say the least.
