How about adding a tab to the interface that allows you to trade in all the BL Merchants, TP Express, Boxes of Fun and utterly useless Repair Canisters you have wasting space for Black Lion Statuettes?

 

And in the Chests themselves, remove all these items and only give statuettes and the chance at the rarer drops, then add them able to be purchased with the BLS. So people can choose junk if its useful to them, or delay gratification and save them for something better later.

They won't. They want you to keep that junk, cluttering your inventory, and making you buy additional bank tabs, inventory slots and shared slots.

Those items' purpose is to be junk. If you can actually trade them for useful things then they stop being junk which would be a contradiction to their existence.

 

If they actually want people to be able to pick and choose stuff they wouldn't be using these RNG mechanics.

black lion keys are a scam and I wouldn't recommand anyone to buy or care about them.
