Myanko.1547
After a lot of diagnosis with the support team, they’re defaulting to telling me I have high latency issues. I have no ping or lag issues with any other internet based program and I use a wired connection. I can’t access the ArenaNet website itself or the BLTC but the guild wars 2 domain and the client are fine. Has anyone else experienced this very particular issue before? Is there a port forward and exception I need to add? Please help me out, I need other ideas.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
As for the BLTC, you can try clearing the GW2 cache. https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/231273908-Troubleshooting-Trading-Post-Errors For the ArenaNet site, https://www.arena.net/en, I'm not sure. Maybe try different browsers, disable add-ons, etc.?
Myanko.1547
I’ve cleared caches, disabled security stuff, tried Chrome, Opera and Edge and asked another user in my house to try navigating to the ArenaNet domain which was unsuccessful. It’s got something to do with the internet but I can’t figure out what.
Healix.5819
guildwars2.com and arena.net are on the same server. Flush your DNS by opening a command prompt (search start: cmd) and entering: ipconfig /flushdns ... or try a different provider - Google. You can test your connection by trying to access: (these should result in a 403 error page) NA: http://3.212.184.145/ http://52.202.135.131/ EU: http://3.124.236.152/ http://35.159.6.254/
Myanko.1547
Flushing the DNS didn’t help and I can’t exactly try a different provider. Comcast is my provider and I haven’t had problems with their service before I moved.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
I believe he meant a different _DNS_ provider. Not a different ISP. https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using Not that you shouldn't access arena.net, but what do you need from that particular site? Myanko.1547
It's been fixed, my mom, who is a IT support manager, had me download Avast! and it cleared whatever was blocking ArenaNet and the BLTC from loading.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
Gratz! Always nice to have a relative IT person. (You should always use a virus scanner.) :)
