[SPOILER] Anyone else concerned...

The end cinamatic scene for PoF shows Krakalatorric attacking Amnoon. At least that is what I assume is happening. GW2 has many times in the past had the living story make significant changes to maps (thus the living part). Does anyone else feel that it is too soon for Amnoon to potentially be destroyed as one of those big changes. Holidays are right around the corner and it's not unreasonable that a release in September would be a holiday gift. Will all of their first sights of Elona be a destroyed city and all the content of that city (raptor races, pinata, casino) be lost to newbies and those of us who are slower at achievements/content? I've rather been enjoying Amnoon as a desert version of Lions Arch. A big (for the desert) free and diverse city with it's ritzy parts and it's sketchy parts and the wierd Choya stampede.

Maps are generally 'frozen in time'. For example. Queensdale is just how it is almost directly after defending Shaemoor Garrison. You don't find any pact troops there. Orr is infected with Risen. We never get to see cursed shore after the defeat of Zhaithan.

They did make changes to maps, but never shortly after the release of the story that defines the story state. It wasn't till 1,5 year after release that they changed Lion's Arch and that was the biggest change in existing maps so far.

Since Season one, only minor changes have been made (e.g. bandits fights to prelude the rise of the white mantle, or recently the addition off awakened/forged to some regular maps).

So in cutscenes and instances we might see a destroyed Ammoon, but the map itself will be in it's frozen state. Specifically the second trailer showed a new map.

LA and Kessex hills we're both big ones (with LA being the most alarming). But yes, thinking about the mass changes they were all LS1, nothing newer. Which makes me happy. Would hate to have to chase a legendary branded Choya pinata. Cause that would just be alarming.

There were actually some map changes to the open world in LS2, when Mordremoth's vines and forces started to show up in Kryta and Ascalon. They stopped that pretty quickly, though, and I suspect that it was done in part because the work had mostly been done already and it would have taken too much time to rework it into new areas.

There's a lot of area around PoF that we've not covered yet, I'm sure it will be a new map. I'm hoping they eventually open up a map connecting the Desert Highlands and Fields of Ruin. We've got a blocked tunnel and a closed gate leadinIDON'TCAREIFITSSAVED ... (sorry, couldn't see through the pop-up) leading to the area. It's only a matter of time before those should be opened.

That is true, forgot about the vines early on. They weren't quite as big a change as Lions Arch or Kessex Hills. I was picturing a change as large as those to Crystal Oasis / Amnoon.

I thought about it for a bit and I think we will not see changes to PoF maps with LS4. The living story is a different product that PoF. There might be ppl who don't own PoF but will be online for the LS release.

At first I hoped with the LS4 "the rest of PoF" would arrive in the new maps, but the above thought made new maps, or events in core maps much more likly to happen.

There will definitely be active players that don't own PoF when Living World Season 4 releases, and will unlock the Episodes, but they won't be able to access said Episodes without first purchasing Path of Fire.

You misinterpreted the ending cinematic, Kralkattorik is not attacking Amnoon, and it's already been confirmed that Kralk is heading South and/or Southeast from Vabbi, however, if you've watched the LS4 teaser then you do seem Amnoon getting attacked by Branded, but not directly by Kralk. What you saw at the end of the cinematic is the storm generated by Kralk when ever he's on the move, the Fury of the Brand storm that you encounter in Vabbi.

Makes sense. NPCs have commented that his branded army is marching south, so I guess they reached Amnoon from Charr lands. In the last instance, we see a dragon. I assumed that both Aurene and Krakalatorric were there. But maybe it was just Aurene. Or some random smaller dragon boss like Shatterer.
