Gold Farming - Best Ways That Are The Most Fun

This topic has been discussed often, but I am wondering what currently are the most fun ways of making good amounts of gold each day. I am trying to save up to buy Sunrise.

 

Doing dailies and high end content is a safe bet, but there have to be other ways too. I have all classes and 3 of them at level 80. I am aware of parking alts to farm resources and such.

 

What are your suggestions on how to make the gold grind more fun or different? Flip items on the TP? Crafting? Map completion on alts? World bosses or expansion content farming? Anything unusual that is not guaranteed (beware the mystic toilet)?

Silverwastes, AB and Istan farms are the most lucrative AFAIK.

I never really did that. I do stuff like fractals and such, and that's pretty much where my gold comes from.

Honestly, if you want to balance lucrative and fun, you should rotate some of the well known, higher value content, obviously avoiding what you personally don't enjoy. You may decide to run something that's a little less gold/hour, but it's what you feel like doing.

i find Silverwastes extremely boring, then i do rotate the 4 HoT maps metas. AB is mandatory. u can alternate AB with complete TD Crystallized Supply Cache run (like 60+), VB or Dragon Stand. Also some fractals. Is possible make gold with PoF trains, but is a bit slow compared to HoT maps or Silverwastes. I craft almost 2 legendaries backpiecs with this method.

I like Silverwastes. They are not fun per se, but you don't have to be concentrated to do it so you can watch videos simultaneously.

Open world meta events are definitely the most fun for me, especially if the people in the squad are chatty and funny. :) I like a mix of Palawadan, Silverwastes and HoT metas.

Rotate metas, do daily bosses, hunt bounties etc. Don't farm the same thing over and over, it will be boring.

Some solid suggestions. You miss a lot when you've been gone for 4 years. I think I will try to get my fractal level up and checkout the Silverwastes first.

Lake Doric leather farms are great gold/hour and I find them fun (YMMV).

Fun is subjective. Truly, just about anything you do in PVE will turn a profit so do what you enjoy and watch your bags fill up.

IMO daily fractals are the funnest way to earn gold. Only problem is the initial gold investment to get the ascended gear and the infusions. Once you have that, you can earn a surprising amount doing the dailies and the CMs. By 'surprising" I mean I received the celestial blue infusion drop twice.

 

Since the daily fractals rotate out, you'll rarely be doing the same ones over and over again. This keeps it interesting.

I like fractals for gold because you're not doing the same thing over and over again. If I have time I try to do all the fractals my AR allows, and one of the HoT metas (Auric Basin is my favourite), and MAYBE the leather farm, but only while I am watching something.

spvp during seasons are a great gold source, but you do really have to enjoy that game type otherwise I'd suggest go else where so you don't burn yourself out.
