  1. perhaps is just a random blabling from one these "DRM"s.
  2. with huge amount of currencies now, i really dont worry about that.. im completion old achievments, from LS4 im near completing it.. one of them i need grind a bit Thunderhead peak, then now im liking the have a reason to revisiting old maps;.
  3. > @"Fenom.9457" said: > I don't really see where people are getting the notion Jahai is unfinished, it seems perfectly fine, but we do know for certain that Kourna was a bit rushed. I do hope they go back to connecting maps like those two though, I so badly miss being able to just walk from one map to the next. The expansions connect their maps but living world usually doesn't. When we're all over the place I understand there are no nearby maps to connect to, but I wish some of the ones right next to each other had a portal. Like Grothmar and Bjora. Would it have been so hard to add just a teeny, tiny little sliver more to one of those maps that's a corridor through the mountains, and connect the map art (the map art is SO close it gives me terrible OCD that they didn't just bridge the gap). I know you can take a chopper from the Blood Keep to Jora's Keep, which is nice, but not the same. I would imagine we can expect the expansion maps to connect to each other since the previous two maintained this style from core, but I'm gonna be pretty disappointed if the next season/saga after EOD (which is pretty likely to still be in Cantha) doesn't connect and of its maps. Vabbi, Jahai and Kourna are connected, the portal Jahai/Kourna, exists, but its wanst used on history and rarely noticed on map. >From Domain of Kourna: The portal is at the end of the path leading up the cliffs south of Dunlon Springs. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jahai_Bluffs
  4. GW2 efficiency is calculating 2k + for some of these collections, a bit more they will reach a legendary cost(2,5k~3k).
  5. lolz, im asperger but i believe this have nothing to do with autism, just age, im near 39yo. I just think things are simple, if Jormag is messing up things, it must not be "understood", it must be destroyed, we should shot first, ask questions later. Elder Dragons are just like a rorschach test, u can see " deeper things" behind them, or just see as they are: nature forces(like a blak ink randomly painted on white paper) that are dangerous. But its clear writers throwed this dillema on purpose, to add some extra flavor to the plot, the real Jormag enigma is, "we are being naive and overthinking his motivations?", or "we are being just raw brutes ignoring it and just pointing a gun to him?" Im favor of a plot where commander become a tyrant, because being a hero at some point start becoming boring.
  6. 1hr is too much, but is understandable, cuz u new to the game. which profession u play? i have 1 of each profession and did the history spec with everyone to complete the elite spec weapons collection, the only i had major trouble is my deadeye because i use a extremy glass cannon build, but still it didnt take 1hr. The dogs phase is very easy with ranged atacks.

No matter how hard someone tries to build it, so if something equal or _better_ than SPB appears, I'll know what that means). the same old "in this patch we are looking to adapt the existing traits to be in line with new professions". last time i heard this, they changed for example the guardian staff #1, because after years they decided its is "overperforming".
  8. im using the condition weaver from metabattle and is survinging well, i didnt know how.
  9. GW2 is more simplistic, and i like it, it doenst have "inteligence". most MMO's separate "magic' skill(thats improve with inteligence) from physical skills(thats improve with power), this doenst exists there. But we have **condition damage**, that increase the damage of "conditions"(bleed, poison, burn and others), due to balance issues most condition professions are a bit more nerfed than power based professions, but still fun in open world. So theres 2 ways to make damage in gw2: from "power" and from "conditions". but conditions also include non-damage conditions, they are mostly related to cloud-control(CC) like chill, cripple, they can be improved only with **condition duration**. While power-based professions improve with Power/Precision/Ferocity, the condition based professions improve with condition and condition duration. Theres also some rare hibrid's Power and condition damage, they most doesnt need condition duration. Precision and Ferocity are like 99% of other MMO's, precision increase your critical chance, and ferocity the % of damage done by critical hit.
  10. i like old movies references, my main now is the "Atlantean Sword" (from Connan the Barbarian). and i have the Tannhauser Enginer(reference to Tannhauser Gate from Blade Runner).
  11. if u like to "adventures" and speed the u will find roller bettle freaking cool too.
  12. That event is a genius work at level that i hardly find words to praise it.
  13. gw2 early game is more about exploration, i spend near 6 months completing all maps, tried 1 map everyday. the problem is that game UI and rewards dont emphasize much that, i remenber at time, the side bar spam LS1 stuff and "fall tournament" i just ignored that. For some reason the game exploration remembered me zelda, the game was almost about reach some spots and do the hearts.
  14. > @"Joote.4081" said: > Yeah, it looks as if 3 and 4 would bring the most benefits even though 2 is more the story element. And I'm more interested in the benefits of loot glorious loot. so LS4 is unbeatable, - Dragon Fall farm is 25~30g hour ( ) - roller beetle - skycale. - 2 or 3 "armorsets", weaponsets also. - volatile magic stuff. ( https://gw2lunchbox.com/IstanShipments.html ) - ascended trinkets (sandswept isles + dragonfall currency) Also lesser stuff to farm, ThunderHead keep stuff, can obtain 7~10 g per day atm(serpentite jewel prices raised up). Skycale will make ur life very on future if u dive into scavenger hunt and map exploration.
  15. - if u want experience best combo of history and encounters is ls3 - ls2 have longest chapters but most bosses encounters are jump/trick based, also almost mordrem.
  16. > @"Randulf.7614" said: > Grind was far worse at launch imo. Getting a legendary was 10x more effort for starters. Imagine getting 250 of each T6 mat without map rewards, there was miniscule levels of t6 mats dropping, no champ bags etc. Ectos were rarer, mystic coins harder to get, precursors harder to get. > > Then when ascended was added a few months later, that was a grind to get. > > I think people forget how limited the game was at launch. It's just now, we have more stuff people want, but it doesn't all need to be gone for. That doesn't mean grind doesn't exist, but it's mitigated by how easily you can chip away at it over time Sure, now theres lots of options of "farming": fractals, lots of "events trains". for those like repeating stuff, we have now SW + DragonFall + Drizzlewood.
  17. > @"Ayrilana.1396" said: > There just seems to be some inconsistencies in how people rate episodes or at least in the reasons that they give. I remember criticizing one of the LS2 episodes for having a very short story but it was being praised because of the lore of going into Glint's lair. Years later we get people criticizing episodes for being just as short but they weren't doing that back then. It just leads me to believe that there's something else that is actually influencing how people perceive an episode. If Kourna somehow had Cantha lore, would it have been received differently? Is believe that LS2 episode I was speaking about was well received because it at lore about Glint. I guess very old episodes(ls4 is near 2yers) people player at more lower pace, either new player or people completing achievs left behind. i myself played 2019 just to see the lore, and map exploration(i like complete maps with my main), and left. i returned to some kind of "completionist" mode in dec. 2020. Meanwhile the "early rushers" tends to be more worried with the replayabilty of the content and how much it bring a "new carrot".

At the very most, there are geographical type similarities (i.e. rocky) but I would not go as far as to say "massive Silverwastes assets re-utilization". Furthermore, if you're using that as a reason to criticize the map, then you should look at all of the other maps in the game that share that what you're claiming can be applies towards. Sandswept seems to be the most praised map of LS4 and you can make a claim that many of the map assets used from PoF maps. You can also make the claim about core Tyria maps sharing the same assets as other maps within their regions. > > The player populations on these two maps has been criticized as being low when there are no metas but the same can be stated for any of the other maps. Sandswept barely has any players. Actually, one of the complaints about Kourna is how much of the map is unused but just as much of Sandswept, if not more, is unused as well. The impressive inquest buildings on Sandswept Isles, makes any reuse of textures forgivable, although the map is simplistic in the northern area, its noticeable they put a effort there. The point inst about "player populations", but rushed work. Kourna has nothing, is a near a random SW pieces throwed with some water, players may not "rationalize" the real reason the map looks tedious and doesn't bring anything new, but that's basically it.

  20. Kourna doenst even had a loot table at lauch many events/mob areas with 0 loot... Also few notice how Kourna have massively silverwastes assets reutilization, this map is just a pickup pieces of silverwastes puzzled in different geography. I wonder whats kinda of problems studio had at time, episode 1~2 was lauched at regular pace, but 3 delayed then ppl become more suspicious and started complain on forum, then the rushed lauch, and the roller bettle developer left right after episode lauch.
  21. thanks for advice @"Ayrilana.1396" i guess, since i play NA prime time inst hard to find ppl to play togheter, i will follow the advice about it, and try the Crystal Circuit Racer with a group to rush it.
  22. > @"Brandon Uzumaki.1524" said: > Those turrets are the biggeest proof of that, this massive grind to unlock this somewhat "complex" thing, and it's not even used outside the map, and even in the map itself is not that great. Sure im near complete all LS4 content, all grindiest stuff(already did skycale, golem y mark, the joko staff etc), except this. is boring and useless.
  23. yeah the bots are become sophisticated, they now aim unpopulated maps at low peak hours.
  24. they struggle to populate already existing pvp game-modes, i doubt this will make any difference.
