Mini Griffon Mount

Anyone happen to know if this mini also drops as a reward from the new Living World maps? I'm wondering if I should just do the races for all the maps or stick to the main PoF ones only.

PS: the RNG for this mini drop seems to be really low. Been doing the races for almost 2 months with no luck. My luck is really bad I guess.

As far as I know, it drops only from Griffon Adventures reward chests on the original PoF maps. However... there don't seem to be as many people doing the adventures (yet) as there were on the original maps.

 

And yes, the drop rate is very low. I have a friend who was doing all the adventures each day for ages and they never got one. That doesn't mean it's astronomically low, but it's low enough to mean 0 minis in a couple of hundred tries, for more than a few people.

 

According to [GW2 efficiency](https://gw2efficiency.com/account/unlock-statistics?filter.key=minis&filter.search=griffon%20mount), about 0.8% of accounts have it. (This could be over or understating the "real" fraction, of course.)

 

That seems rather low, except... the number of people who have completed gold or silver for griffon adventures is also low. Put another way, roughly about 5% of the folks that are good at flying griffons end up getting the mini. (Although of course, the data doesn't allows us to measure how many times they tried.)

There are griffon races on the new LS4 maps as well. Question is whether it drops from those new maps or not...

Though those statistics are interesting. Compared to the number of people who have finished the Open Skies achievement (38% of the player base roughly), less than 10% of them have even gotten silver on the griffon races.

I know I personally gave up on the races after getting gold on a couple of them. Some of them were too hard and the learning curve too steep, then they changed the griffon's mechanics and made it even harder...

Maybe there needs to be more of an incentive to do those races in the first place.

Right, I did misunderstand the question.

I haven't heard of anyone getting the mini on the new maps, but then again, fewer people seem to be interested in them.

people who go for legendary crafting and wait for broken events for months dont get compensated so why should this?

That is not even comparable. When you go to an event you notice pretty fast that it is currently bugged on your map IP, and I never saw a vital event being completly bugged for months. Also there was no indication that this loot table was bugged, people kept telling you the RNG is RNG excuse. Plus you can ask the costumer support to send you the collection item if its a known bugged event.
