The nightmare chests also drop these. Empyreals drop from Living World map nodes: * LS3 "trees": Petrified Stump & Primordial Orchids. There are guides for farming them on multiple toons. * LS4: difluorite crystals: ditto for guides, including a TACO plug in. According to the wiki, at least, each path can supposedly net you 40 fragments before diminishing returns is applied. 20 for first and second completion.
