Is Edge of the Mist the fastest way to level new characters up?

Like the tittle says, and if not, what is in your opinion? Again not talking about fun or rewarding just raw fastest way to level up a character.

No. It only gives wxp now. You gain a tome of knowledge per wvw rank, so it is a much slower and tedious process. Not to mention eotm is a bit dead lately

Other than boosts from tomes and similar items, the fastest way to legally level is to still play the game.

Storyline, run across Tyria and do events, PvP or WvW.

 

Or you could just purchase the insta 80 level from gemstore, that **is** the fastest way, :D

If you don't already have a ton of tomes in your bank, you are likely fairly new to the game... so I ask, what's your hurry? Take your time and explore the game. :)

The fastest way imo is to load up on crafting and craft your way to 80...that is if we're not considering tome use

No I am not I have 3 lvl 80 characters and pretty much explored whole Tyria, I just don't have tons of tomes in my bank and now since I've done all the envents pretty much and almost all hearts it feels kind of like a chore to do them all over again just to level up. Don't get me wrong I absolutely loved them all I just don't get the same feeling twice and most of them really do just feel like pure grind instead of explorartion since I already explored them all.

The reason I don't have a lot of tomes is because I spent them all on a mesmer and got bored of him at around lvl 50 because I really don't enjoy his mechanics very much.
