It is not the only former-tonic-turned-into-an-outfit that is suffering from this issue. ALL of them do. And I am not pleased and sincerely hope for a change.

I think a lot of outfits could stand to have more channels. Rather than one box that represents the entire outfit, they should have a box for each 'zone' of the outfit. There should be a chest, leg and foot zone, and maybe an 'other' zone for accessories (shoulders, stitching or ornaments used in various places across the outfit, accessories). Then each zone would have 1-4 channels as if it was it's own piece, depending on the complexity of the outfits zone.

In the case of the khaki outfit.

Chest (2 zones): base and lapel, cuffs

Legs (1 zone)

Feet (2, possibly 3): boot color (1/2, lacing and soul, though that could be put in the 'accessory' zone)

Accessory (2-4 zones) : belt, laces, chest strap, leg accessory, etc

Fully 100% agree. Not just that specific outfit. There are so many cashual clothing outfits that have this same issue. They don't always work well with what you're looking to get when dying an outfit. Not enough dye channels. Another 2 at least should be added.

The tonics, then tonics-turned-outfits, were a good start to replacing the town clothes the Wardrobe wrecked. I even understand why they chose the mix-match items they did to assemble into the outfits, they had limited items that were the same on all races. Hence jodhpurs and riding boots jammed into so many of them despite the sheer ugliness and awkwardness of those boots from a time long before mounts even made them have a reason to exist. (Subjective opinion yes).

More dye options would help. What would really help would be going back to screenshots of truly cute/elegant combinations people put together in the townclothes days and making those available, along with more sensible dye channel assignments.
