[Suggestions]QoL (Quality of Life) Ideas - [Merged]

I've got an amazing suggestion; implement feature that allows you to right click a player and "Mute Effects" reducing their character to a base character model with zero auras or item effects. This is to combat all the kids who apparently need attention by turning their characters into absolute aura bleeding eye cancer and flopping all over everyone trying to be as annoying as possible.

Don't know if this has been suggested before but here it goes:

* **Have an option to make party color different from squad color while on a squad**. This would be really nice in WvW because support classes can keep better attention on their own party while keeping in mind the effect radius of skills.

Possible Skyscale Trolling:

 

Teleport to a friend should only work if the player you are teleporting to is not on a mount. I was on my skyscale yesterday a guild mate teleported to me while I was way up in the air. They fell to their death. I fear people may abuse this.

New achievements/titles for players who have been collecting legendary weapons and possibly an exclusive reward. (e.g. New title for each 5 legendary skins you obtain)

Exclusive reward somewhere along the lines of an account wide stat buffs would be nice or something along those lines so there would actually be a reasonable reason to go out and do it. By these I mean something along the lines of the frac god damage buff, not the gold find/magic find percentages (maybe 0.5-1% per tier of collection)

Right now collecting legendaries doesn't even feel like a luxury when everyone can make one.

While the legendaries in itself are supposed to be their own reward it would be nice to get some recognition for going through all that time and mats for them.

Titles, achievement points and recognition are fine, although presumably you already have the most worthwhile reward in the form of the weapon itself and unlocking the skin! Vertical progression is not okay— else they could have simply given the legendaries higher stat points. I am glad this game is still free of the unending gear/level grind.

I would also like to have some other interface/control options set differently for each character. For instance, I like large obvious health bars (for party/team/squad) while playing support, but not so much otherwise.

I said this before in various threads but here's the QoL things I want to see pls:

 

* Rather than have us scroll endlessly on minimap to find an event is all the way on the other side also show events happening on current map when we press M.

 

* For PvE Stow minions UI buton like Ranger has stow pet. Stows active minions but does not kill them. Minions on a timer like "rise" minions can still die off when stowed if timer runs out. Using minion skill in utility bar when minions stowed should bring those minions out of stow state so skills like Taste of Death should still heal you at the cost of the minion and combat effects like Charge/Rigormortis etc will still happen after the minion comes out. For this all minions should stow as a group but for the sake of healing on the run bloodfiend saccrifice should not un-stow the others and only-unstow itself as heal skills should be able to act independntly of the other utility and elite skills like any other prof/class.

 

* **Resource node icons should have an option to be made larger in UI settings for those with detail sight issues (we can already set text size this should be no different).**

 

* Charr and Norn mounts should have extra scaling of +1/3 of what the scaling already is because current scaling for mounts is aesthetically off-putting for those races. And I have the feeling this is why I'm seeing less Charr and Norn players.

 

* **Add option in settings to turn off flashing effects to make the game more epilepsy friendly. (Options to turn them off or make them static for duration or make the flash smaller and more ignorable.)**

Fists.

 

That's right, just fists. I wanna punch people with barehands and no weapons. You could make a set of profession-specific skills when unequipped or just give a universal set like uppercut, or a chained punching skill. If it's a profession that already has physical skills you can replace it with something more unique like say, "Warrior's Charge" that burns enemies or something.

Please give us the option to skin legendary gear according to the stats we have selected.

 

I am currently running with 3 ascended armor sets + weapons, each of them has a special kind of stats and a separate skin-set. So I can easily see if I am wearing all pieces correctly or mistook the gloves of set A with those of set B. With different stats, you play a character differently, so it would only make sense (to me) if you are also able to bind a certain skin to that stats. This would be interesting for both weapons and armor. Different build = different look.

Opening Unidentified Gear stacks

 

 

Make sure you have one invisible bag, with a few empty slots to store all your stacks of Unidentified Gear.

 

1. Open about 3-4 of them and salvage them.

2. Activate "use all" with Unidentified Gear and wait for the error-box to appear (inventory is full, please make room).

3. Ignore the box, go to the sprocket icon and click on "Deposit all". Of the 3-4 items you salvaged at first, the materials will now go to your vault making 2-3 new inventory slots empty.

4. Go to the error box, click OK.

5. Salvage everything.

(repeat with 2.-5. until you are done with all stacks)

 

Note: The error-box can be moved. If you want to save time, move it close to your salvage-kit slot, so you only have to move the mouse left & right. The method is quite fast, but depends on your free inventory slots. The more you have, the quicker you are done.

I want to contribute to the QOL thread. My ideal would be very simple, yet reduce work for your support staff.

 

It is about the tf authentication. When someone somehow loses access to the app, you have to wait until someone from support takes care about it. It would be a convenient method to include a recovery code via SMS, so that te person can recover his/her account without the support.

There is already such a system which works very well, when you look at the steam tf authentification. There you only need support when you do nt have any access to the phone number anymore.

Being able to test out stacking sigils in the Special Forces Training Area would be pretty helpful. It would be nice if we had one equipped (Bloodlust) there was a way to adjust it's settings to 25 stacks, either by selecting it through one of the bots or providing a way to kill trash mobs.

I would love if the legendary weapons' footfall and draw animation effects were attached to the item, not its skin. I like to reskin most legendaries because I don't like their looks, but in most cases I enjoy the footfalls and draw animation. So keeping those while being able to reskin the weapon would be great IMO.

 

Just like with **Rime-Rimmed Mariner's Rebreather**: "_The particle effect is not attached to the skin, but to the base item. Transmuting another skin over the item will not remove the effect._"
