Dear Anet,

 

There isn't a Jackal like it.

 

After casually riding around on my default, unimpressive Jackal to join a race within the new area, Jahai Bluffs, a mysterious character shows up near the race I was just going to get involved in. Unfortunately my hunt for the achievement was massively side tracked by this mysterious character riding non other than the Mirror Masked Jackal. The race became a secondary hunt, the Jackal became a primary obsession. My main is a Mesmer if you haven't already guessed and I instantly fell in love with this teleporting creature with butterflies flying out of it's body. My curiosity then prayed that the other mounts had a similar theme with the very sad outcome of not being so! Instantly my heart dropped with such news and so I thought I'd enquire about this with other Mesmer enthusiasts. It's unanimous, all my fellow Mesmers say the same thing.

 

Here's to hoping that we find them hidden mirrored beings within the future, in far reaches of the maps to come!

As long as any "mirror masked" springer uses the kourna jackrabbit base model and not the ugly default springer model. ;)

 

But yeah more in the theme would be cool.

This is so true!! My main is also a Mesmer and let me say I was so excited as soon as I saw this mount!! I immediately had to have it and it is now my favorite mount for my main char!!

I also love it though it's scanted a bit on dye channels. I think you get body, plating, and butterflies, no gradient possible in the body.

I've mained a Mesmer for years, and the jackal was always my favourite mount from day one. When I saw this skin, I probably broke the gem-buying speed record.

 

In fact, it might have even been me as the 'mysterious character' that OP saw in Jahai Bluffs. At least if you're on EU.
