Most populated server NA?

Servers only matter for WvW. For PvE, there is the megaserver. Are you asking about WvW? If so, may want to venture over to the wvw forum.

Servers for WvW will become a thing of the past as well once WvW Alliances is implemented, which WvW guild you join will be more important

Expanding on what other people have said: a few years ago they introduced an idea called mega-servers, which basically means all servers are connected and share maps. So unless you're in WvW you're not playing on your server, you're playing on a map shared between all the servers in the NA region (EU is still separate) and can meet people from all the other servers.

 

There are still multiple copies of each map - but they're created and removed as needed. So for example right now there's probably about eleventy gajillion copies of the Mad King's Labyrinth and there might only be one copy of Iron Marches if there's not enough people there to need more.

 

So you only need to worry about which server you want to play on if you're planning to do a lot of WvW. For everything else you just need to decide between EU and NA and then use the Looking For Group tool to find populated maps or ones with organised groups when you need them. But you'll very rarely find yourself on an empty map, there's always a few people around.

the funniest consequence of mega servers is you will run into guildies in WvW and killing each other if they had picked a different server :lol:

Yep, that's happened to me a few times. It can be really funny - people going all out to kill each other, then apologising for it in guild chat...then doing it again.

Just returned playing and it seems I’m already on the most populated server or one of the three that are always on red Full. But getting info on WvW and the works was helpful as well tyvm.
