500 diamonds Needed to Change Server...

If you’re willing to do farming runs to harvest nodes to sell mats then this is one I use. Selling mats is fairly profitable.

Copy paste into chat. The codes are waypoints. You can click on them to pull them up. Directions are somewhat abbreviated since I made it for my own use and not for other player’s

Questions:

How long do dailies last? One's attention span is quite limited due to time constraints :)

Also - are mystic coins only available from the main story map?

Thanks for all your help.

Dailies are available to do within a 24 hours span. From daily game reset to game reset (about 8 hours from right now).

Mystic coins are available as log in rewards (along with laurels) and as one of the dailies, fractal rewards, that event reward, some other rarer ways, or buy from the trading post.

Thanks.

But do you remember actually exactly how long it takes to complete a daily? If it's 8 hours ain't nobody got time fo that,

if it's 1 hour ain't nobody got time fo that either

if it's 10-mins one might consider it....

Most dailies are very fast. If you look at your daily list it’s easy enough to estimate how long.

Vista. Time it takes to run to a vista on the required map and hit accept.

Harvesting. Time it takes to harvest 4 required node types on the required map

Events. Time it takes to do 4 events on the map it says to do them on.

PvP dailies. Usually one to two matches, so up to 16 minutes.

Fractals: time it takes to do the suggested fractals.

And so on.

Yep, it is funny. Especially considering a mere daily meta gives you 2 gold.

Some take few minutes, some might take as much as 30 seconds (excluding map loading times). Depends on the daily. I can usually do the 3 dailies required for the 2 gold reward in like 15-20 minutes, without hurrying too much.

You say the game doesn’t give information but how does someone miss the big panel that appears each day you log on with the title

ALL AVAILABLE DAILIES

~~Where you are required to accept a minimum of one daily to close it out~~ and then come to the forum and ask “what are dailies?” If someone doesn’t even know what dailies are after accepting the panel with the title ALL AVAILABLE DAILIES every day they log in then they are not going to be aware of other ingame information

Edit: you can close it without accepting a daily, but then you have a list of 5 dailies on the right hand side of the UI.

If someone is so incurious as to never notice that huge panel with the title ALL AVAILABLE DAILIES or take a few seconds to look it over then no amount of ingame tutorials is going to be useful to that person.

NA and EU being connected on serveral levels and actually allowing us to swap versions for such a tiny fee is already more community friendly than anything I have ever seen in other games. Thus it is a little hard for me to take this complaint seriously.

If you’re making barely 1 gold a day then you’re not doing your daily to get 2 gold a day, plus gold from selling Mystic Coins you get from logging in, plus gold from converting laurels to gold. (How many mystic coins and laurels do you have in your inventory? Do you look at selling off excesss mats?

I don’t do fractals myself but I hear they’re a good source of gold. The Domain of Istan is very profitable. Even dungeons is good gold if you do a set each day. The gold is easily obtained. If your’e not making gold then you’re not trying to make gold.

Its not a flaw of a subject that someone, "bashes," it due a lack of knowledge of that subject.

Edit: My apologies. Didn't mean to be insulting.

It's a massive game with tons of moving parts. Even in ideal circumstances (which we don't have), the devs would only have time to update details, not explain the ins & outs of how dailies can be done more easily.

That is efficiently outsourced to fans, who do that so well for the GW franchise that ANet is willing to pay for the server to host that content. Folks without the patience to take a look at the wiki are unlikely to have the patience to get the most from a tutorial. Folks who don't read the information available to them at logon (e.g. about dailies) are unlikely to benefit from ANet investing more in UI improvements.

Hello Flesh.

That is because you are feeding it.

When some one says "Diamons" instead of "Gems", when someone says "Talents" instead of "Traits", etc., I know that person is very far from take this game serious enought. For that person this game does not worth a bit of their time: "Why should I read, why should I make a little research about... nah".

Even worst if, instead of make any form of an (elaborated or not) question, just make a title without body, and that is why I reported it before people started to answer a not-existent question. And you can add to that the OP's post history.

At the end of the day I do not care about that behavior I describe in the first part of my post. Just, in the same way, they do not deserve my time neither.

Salute.

I wouldn't make assumptions about a person's phrasing in this case. Other games use diamond, talents. In GW2, I hardly ever see anyone use the correct jargon for the different types of crafting: discipline. People use "crafting profession". It doesn't mean they don't understand the mechanics; it means that the words that ANet has chosen don't resonate strongly enough.

(Mind you, in this case there are plenty of other examples of a choice to post before considering all the information already available, before considering consequences.)

In the end, of course, it's your time. I suspect however that those of us frustrated with certain types of posts would be disappointed in ourselves if we were to discover that we were equally guilty of failing to consider our assumptions before posting.
