I don't know what I'm shooting at or why. I don't know if I'm hitting the boss or a passing duck. > In raids and such how can you use any sort of tactics on these bosses, how do you see any telegraphs through all the flashy lights and laser beams? > I was fighting the dragon in the personal story and the story was to watch out for its breath, you will get a warning when it's about to breath on you. Impossible to see. The only warning or idea it had snorted on me was when I ran of a cliff. > Does anyone think boss fights in GW2 are fun? > Agreed. The visual noise in this game makes large scale fights, such as bosses, a chore.
  2. I find the open world content in this game to be mind-numbingly bland. Almost a complete lack of challenge. I prefer playing with others in general, just not here. Working as a group to overcome challenges greater than any one of us is fun. Having multiple people semi-afk auto-attack a foe down with almost no chance of failure is not more fun than doing so alone. Without challenges to overcome as a group (and I admit that there are a few) then playing as a group is meaningless. If all one wants is to socialize the game is not needed.

A few of the top, Pieces of unidentified gear, all three flavors and this one is beyond unacceptable... Mystic coins. I think you should put a cap on these prices, so they can't be sold higher(which is only fair since it is unfair right now) or find what guild or group of people doing this and suspend their accounts. I have never been on to complain, but come on, I just want an even playing field like everyone else. Mystic coins LOCKED at 2G-420073 ordered. This isn't a supply and demand issue. You do realize that you are asking for prices to be actually fixed while complaining about fictional price fixing right?

  5. I detest the movement based masteries that make me feel like I am playing a mario game rather than an MMO, so hopefully not more of those.
  6. Depends on how the difficulty is achieved. Groups of mobs with tons of chained hard CC and extra health is not particularly interesting as a challenge to me.

Thanks, I missed that.
  8. The polls is blatantly biased....and the aspect races you mention were awful and unfair by the very standards you apply, in your OP, to the current events.
  9. > @"Will.9785" said: > I agree that something needs to be done. Its blatant market manipulation by 1 or 2 guilds with very rich players (i.e. hundreds of thousands of gold). > > This is harmful to the game in the long run. A new player would instantly be turned off by this if they wanted to go for a legendary. It puts what is already a daunting task for many players even further out of reach. Many may not find it worth the effort and leave the game. People need long term goals like this to stay invested in the game but they need to be reasonably within reach. The carrot on the stick approach only works if the person chasing the carrot actually believes they can get it. > > A price of 2-3 gold is not fine. You need around 500 for gen 2 legendaries. That's over 1k gold JUST for the coins. > > Even if you feel like 2-3 gold is fine, at what point does it start to become a problem? Because it can/will reach 3-5 gold before you know it given the manipulation we are seeing right now. Participating in the market is not market manipulation.

You are arguing to have control of their property taken away from others so that you can benefit....and you have the audacity to speak of fairness?

  12. > @"Cromx.3941" said: > Yep this game chases away tons of new comers because of the abusive CC mechanics and ridiculous amount of one shotting that goes on. There is way too much damage going back and forth between mobs and players and it completely destroys the entire defensive side of the equation, which dumbs down the game dramatically. The only thing that really matters is active defenses and dodging. Which comes off as gimicky. Either you get with it and stack only offensive stats and try to burn enemies to the ground before they do this stuff or you find another game. Its a huge problem with this game. All of this stuff makes the game very shallow and eliminates most stat combinations and many build configurations as a result. A lot of wasted time ands effort went into designing things that will never be used. I dislike the CC in this game as well, but I am not sure how requiring players to actively engage with their character's defense and survival is somehow more dumb than just stacking defensive gear and self heals.
  13. > @"Yggranya.5201" said: > "Community", that's a good one. Community feel would be team work, but since this is an MMO, that isn't going to happen unless it improves/increases rewards, and then you would just get the raid community BS. You know, show some "skill" by proving your amazing ability to copy meta builds. Any opportunity to attack others right?
  14. > @"Randulf.7614" said: > You don't need to dodge out of an aoe circle. If you time it right, your dodge will evade the attack itself which will hit anywhere within that radius the boss lays down on the ground. If you are running out dodge, ensure you are bringing some skills which give you vigor - that speeds up your endurance bar getting back to full > > Switch to ranged or focus on Garm until she goes to rez him and then pile in - makung sure you break her blue bar with cc skills!. Repeat > > Or retry, not picking Braham and you wont get her as one of the bosses you fight. You will always get two depending on the NPCs you pick as allies > > This. In some games you have to be out of the circle to avoid the AoE damage. In GW2 you merely have to be in mid dodge at the moment of the damage effect. So focus on timing your dodge rather than trying to move farther. That said, yes a speed boost, in the long run, added to your build can be very helpful because moving out of some circles means you still have your dodge(s) available for the others.

That way developing new builds and theory crafting won't be as expensive as it is now. ^^^^ This.
