Snowpea.5469
Halt the time I don't get credit for "Objective Defender" daily, when I've been defending for ages, taking damage, fighting, repairing etc. Other times I just have to be hit by an enemy catapult when standing on a wall, and whey! What's the deal, is it broken? Or half-broken?
XenesisII.1540
Repair something then go afk.
Dawdler.8521
Half-broken is probably accurate. You see the same for caps - you can dps the lord till the end and get loot (ie tagged for sure), walk out the circle and not get any claim reward at all. And other times you sneeze at a scout while being nowhere near the circle and get gold for capping.

LetoII.3782
Defense ticks at a controlled (by your side) structure
Gorani.7205
Repairing a wall or gate usually works for the game to count your participation (not sur eif it is a certain amount of supply spent. With maxed out mastery one "pulse" is enough for me). Killing an enemy directly in a contested circle of a keep, tower or camp work too. Killing an enemy outside a circle in a camp is a random chance for participation (in my experience), taking damage and dealing damage (even to a foe that is killed outside the "dynamic event radius" does not work at all. Rezzing a Lord or Supervisor does not count as well (in my experience).
babazhook.6805
I have never seen "repair structure" fail as an objective defender. That said the CLOCK has to be ticking when you do this indicating the structure under attack. If that clock not ticking and you fix a wall you get no credit. HazyDaisy.4107
Not random, just tweaked to the point of brokenness due in large part to complaints over the years about: Defender advantages Blobbers categorizing themselves as havocs unable to make a move because of 1 guy on an ac Pip farming repairers The pip repairers still get theirs, the blobs still get theirs, the only people that don't most times are actual defenders. Destroying partially built seige, firing stationary seige at fully built counter seige, building a treb to treb their treb(s), chasing someone off, placing traps, pulling a tactivator when needed, dying to a group as they come pouring through...none of it realiably counts as defense unless you stopped to throw 5 supply on a falling wall before you died, then and only then did you actually defend. HazyDaisy.4107
Within the timer and before it caps, otherwise the attackers kill you and get credit for defending a timer they started. It's quite a beautiful system.
borgs.6103
"Defend" the objective when the event timer is below the 2 mins mark.
