inubasiri.8745
If you fly over the Legendary Oil Elemental pit, you can see ghost palm trees that will disappear if you go nearer. ![](https://pasteboard.co/I2dF2Gy.png "")
Hoodie.1045
This is similar to the Rich Candy Corn nodes popping up in open world, then disappearing once you look at them for less than a second. It's like I'm hallucinating from eating too much candy corn or something.
hugo.4705
Whut very strange it looks like cut content. Maybe originally it was a rift bubble event spawning them... I definitely think it wasn't planned to have an oasis there, in a snowy map.
Ashantara.8731
There are "stand-in" textures the engine displays with certain graphics settings. Once you come close enough, the real textures are loading/showing. Perhaps those trees are just that?

I'd prefer to think they're the ghosts of the trees that makes up the oil now. ;)
MithranArkanere.8957
That's part of one of those rift events. They likely forgot to attach the 'far' version of palm trees to the rest of the phased scenery, so they'll become visible from afar even if the rift event is not going on there. The ones in the picture are as real as they get. Last time I encountered them I was able to check. They actually have proper collision so they aren't just visuals. It is also not just from far away. ![imgur](https://i.imgur.com/UKAnSlD.jpg)
