Is this something else I completely didn't notice because I'm to busy watching the cinematic?
Inculpatus cedo.9234
I don't get the 'white screen', either. It might be something only 'windowed' users get. (I use Full-screen.) Edit: I went in and checked, and I have to amend my statement and say I do get the white screen at the beginning of the Vista; but, it goes by so very quickly that it is barely (for me) noticeable. Healix.5819
^ vistas begin and end with a white screen Here's a random sample (starts at 28s, ends at 48s):
MrGarlic.1834
Agreed. Also the white-out at login. I tend to have to look away or squint while it's happening. It's painful, such is life.
The Greyhawk.9107
I've kinda light sensitive eyes myself, but this has never been a thing I noticed so I can't say I care. Now, the bright flash from getting Volatile Magic orbs, _That_ bothers me a great deal. Why couldn't it have been like unbound magic, with minimal eye raping? Danikat.8537
I realise people probably don't want to hear this but have you tried adjusting the brightness (and associated settings) on your monitor? If a plain white screen is hurting your eyes then it's likely the brightness is too high. Screens marked as 'gaming' monitors seem especially bad for having excessive brightness right out of the box. My current one defaults to 100%, I have it set to 35%. It took a while playing with the settings, and jumping between games to make sure those settings worked with all of them, but now the only time it hurts my eyes is if I'm really tired. Harak.8397
Don't play in total darkness... the brief whiteouts won't bother you ! ( I'm kidding... but seriously folks, at least a desk lamp ;) )
