Junkpile.7439
Plan was start to play again after i get new computer, but game is unplayable. FPS is almost 200, but when i turn my character game lags like kitten. I don't know if it's lag, but it just feels horrible and wrong. Feels like camera fighting back and doesn't wanna turn and when i turn it turning too much. Installed that dx12 thing and game is playable, but seems like it doesn't load graphics fast enough. Missing ground, trees and so on. Computer spec: Ryzen 3800x Radeon RX 7800 XT 32gb ram m.2 SSD PSU: Corsair RM850i
Carousel.7523
dx912pxy load textures slower, yes, but after it loads everything it will pre-load and re-load textures much faster. if you're having textures problems try running dx912pxy installer and when it prompts you to chose what you want to do, select "clear-cache" and type in Yes in all following questions. then start gw2 again. it should load textures from scratch. TinkTinkPOOF.9201
Don't run the DX12 proxy on a higher end PC. It was made to help lower end PCs by offloading some CPU tasks to other threads. It cuts my FPS in half on my rig. What are your in game settings? Screens?
CrimsonNeonite.1048
D912PXY usually loads textures fine, after loading on the first boot and it works fine on my 3700x too. You should also list your Power supply, just incase.
Nitro.4732
Junkpile.7439 Can you confirm your Graphics card? "Radeon RX 7800 XT". This model does not exist. Did you mean RX 5700XT? or the 7 year OLD Radeon 7870XT (7800 XT series).

With his specs, I doubt OP is using a 6 year old relic > FPS is almost 200 sounds something is extremely broken to make FPS go berserk like that, typically you get extremely low FPS for unoptimised games have you tried doing driver and firmware updates to your system? Infusion.7149
If it's Navi-based RX 5700XT you'll want d9vk. DirectX9 to vulkan. d9vk is supported indirectly by Valve on Steam.
Junkpile.7439
Haha Radeon RX 7800 XT. WTF i have sapphire RX 5700 XT pulse. Did some anet dude troll me and changed that? Where i got this 7800 xt idea? :D Anyways 190 fps in empty map when i am alone, but i test that d9vk.
Junkpile.7439
Well tested that d9vk. You can play it, but fps is horrible. My 10 old overclocked 3570k can do same fps with same settings. Played like 30 min and one core did peak 4.1 ghz couple seconds and average was 3.8 ghz. :D
Junkpile.7439
Hmm something happened and game works ok now with d9vk. Well like 40-50 fps in lions arch most of settings high and doesn't stutter like before. Nothing major, but i can play ok. Maybe new drivers helped or i changed bios/radeon settings. No idea.
